3rd POV:

At the end of the first semester, the boys had learned that they would be attending the provisional license exam and attempt to get theirs. They would be the only UA students at the exam since UA sends its students typically at the start of the school year instead of the second term unless they are retrying for the exam if they failed it the first time. As such, they spent the last weeks of the first semester and winter break training non-stop. All Might and Gran Torino put them through hell. Izuku had gained a small increase in one for all control from 25% to 30% due to all of the grueling training. Their time at school was focused on making special moves while training outside was focused on their practical abilities. Each of them was working on creating special moves at the school and Izuku had come up with one. It was a bit destructive and powerful at the same time. He called it the meteor kick. Izuku would rise up high in the air with a lot of speed when he was given the chance and then would accelerate himself down at a fast speed and land a kick to his opponent or the ground around his opponent at his current max. Though the damage was far more than his current limit. In the words of All Might, the crater that Izuku had made with a 30% meteor kick looked like damage of a 50% power output if they were guessing right. That is how much damage he created due to the velocity he gained by his decedent from the sky at a 30% air blast and letting gravity take over. All Might warned Izuku to not use that on normal people since it could likely kill them but to use it on larger opponents that the force would be absorbed by or around people to make them all fall down and destroy the ground so they didn't have good footing.

Lloyd had created a special move that was a bit draining on him. The move instead of just forcing one emotion onto a person forced as many as he could do. It would overload the person and make them go into an emotionless state that they wouldn't really react to anyone. This was deemed a special move due to how mentally draining it was on Lloyd and its unlikely hood of being used as a normal attack in battle. The effects wore off about an hour later as they found out on a clone of ectoplasm since Recovery girl had her concerns. She approved the use of the move when he was forced to use it without any other choice.

Salazar had also created a bit of a dangerous move that was restricted unless he had no choice to use it. He couldn't really think of anything to do until Izuku suggested seeing if he could shoot the blades out of his body. They were glad that they had everyone back away behind a bulletproof glass window to watch people with destructive quirks... Salazar tried the idea and it turned almost deadly if anyone was still standing near him. Instead of just forcing one blade out he forced around two dozen out of all parts of his body. He also sent it out in enough speed to pierce the rock around him. As such, the special move was considered a lethal one and he was told not to use the special move unless he had no choice but to use it to survive.

They also tried to come up with a few different ones and were able to create some minor ones. One for Salzar was that he created an ultra-long blade that was thin. The idea for it wasn't to cause much damage but for the fear factor and creating space since it could still cut and harm someone. It would force people close to him to back away. Lloyd created an offset of his radius emotional manipulation and was able to create a special move where he would flash many different emotions through people around him causing them to freak out and get shocked due to the rapid changing of emotions. Izuku created a special move where he would flick his finger and generate a bullet of air. He called it an air force bullet. It wasn't destructive but it would push a lot of people back and make them daze for a few good seconds.

This is how their training went over the last weeks of the semester and during the winter break. Once school started back up they focused on just perfecting the moves that they had created and getting used to using them so they wouldn't screw up in the test or on the field. The staff was happy with their progress and were placing bets on how high they would place in the exam. Most of them were betting in the top 50 while Nezu and Aizawa better within the top 10.
