Chapter 19: Recovery & Training

3rd POV:

Izuku was released from the hospital after being stuck in it for about a week. Everyone kept visiting and seeing how he was doing. The hero commission had come and thanked him for stopping the villain that had caused the entire incident and asked him if there was anything they could do for him. Though his hero name and real name weren't released to the public per his request, public support for him was high due to what he and his brother did. The story of them defending 40 civilians to the death had spread like wildfire and the only identifying details that were made public were that they had belonged to UA's heroic class and had their provisional licenses already. Nothing outside of that was released per Izuku's request since he didn't' want people to use their names for anything like some people are used for after they die. 

Izuku only had a few requests that the commission was willing to meet without any problems. One was to have both of his brothers granted posthumous hero licenses and that there be a memorial made for them at UA if the school agreed with it. The boys had a small little forest area that they liked to go eat lunch in that was off the path when walking towards the training fields. Principal Nezu who was present agreed with the request right away. That was the only thing Izuku wanted to be done and the commission was surprised that he didn't ask for anything complex like some people has in the past. Izuku knew not to really ask for anything big. If he wanted something he would ask his master All Might for his help in getting it done if it didn't' require the commission's involvement. Gran Torino and All Might always warned Izuku to be mindful of what deals he makes with them so he took that to heart and made it simple and easy that they couldn't hang over his head later and ask for a favor from him. 

After Izuku was released he learned from the Lloyd's and Salazar's that the funeral would be held the following week. Izuku didn't know if he could attend and watch them be buried. He was just glad it was currently the summer break and he would have a bit of time to adjust to not being able to lean over to his side and ask his brothers a question since they were around so often. Izuku would always tear up when he thought about them but he would keep the smile on his face. 

The funeral came and it was kept as a private one with the UA staff, Midoriya's, All Might, Gran Torino, and families of the two boys. All Might had shown the two boys' families his form several months before when they had gotten their provisional licenses since they were so close to the Midoriya's he didn't want to cause an issue when he may or may not forget to transform one day. Everyone was sad at the funeral. Nezu had told Izuku that the memorial at the school was completed and when Izuku returned he could visit it whenever he needed to. Nezu knew that he requested the memorial for more of himself so he could just go somewhere and rest with a feeling of them being nearby since the gravesite was so far out of his path that it would be a challenge to get to it often. As such, Nezu had already warned the staff to allow Izuku to visit whenever he wanted as long as it didn't cause any major issue and he kept his grades up. The staff accepted this easily. Aizawa recognized the memorial being at the eating location of the boys as being Izuku's coping measure. Aizawa himself did something similar when he lost his friend on the field.

Izuku had refused to see Hound Dog currently. "I... I don't need to start questioning everything I'm feeling right now. I think when it gets closer to school to start again then I will likely see him to help myself manage but right now I just need to let the emotions run their course." Izuku had stated to everyone when they requested him to see Hound Dog and even Hound Dog himself had agreed with Izuku's assumption. "He is right.. the emotions need to rush the course the first time so he can better understand them and talk about them with me when we start back up," he stated. Everyone let the topic go for now but Aizawa had informed the parents that he would keep a close eye on him when school starts to make sure nothing drastic changes.
