Chapter 20: Second Year & Workstudy

3rd Pov:

The summer break had come to an end and Izuku got to work on his second year of UA. This year would be important since he needed to ensure he finished all of his third-year material during his second year so he can be able to watch over Kacchan and his classmates that are in 1-A and 1-B. Nezu had started him on the teaching license qualifications that he would need to pass before the second year is over. Overall, it was straight forward and wouldn't require him the entire second year. He predicted that it would only take him half a semester. Izuku also learned that All Might has decided to start teaching at UA since his time limit is starting to decrease. All Might was now sitting at 6 hours total and they predict that by the end of the third year he would be near 3 hours or less as long as All Might didn't face any grand battles and had to push himself.

Izuku also learned that he wasn't going to get a teaching license... which didn't go over well when Izuku learned that. That is how they found themselves in the warehouse with Izuku berating his master. "Are you really serious!? You were planning to start teaching at UA without a basic teaching license! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD MASTER I'M GETTING A TEACHING LICENSE MYSELF FOR PLANS NEZU AND I HAVE!" Izuku shouted. That part caught everyone's attention. "What plans?" asked Aizawa who had been enjoying the show of All Might get yelled at which was a rare never seen before sight! Izuku froze at that, "Well.. it will be brought up in a staff meeting but Nezu had told me how you all are short one staff person for homerooms next year. So he will bring the idea I suggested up. You won't be my homeroom teacher anymore and would teach 1-A again and Nezu would take me in a homeroom but in reality, I would be doing whatever I want since my education would be done. I also asked to help with classes for 1-A & 1-B since I don't want them to suffer my fate of losing their friends so early." Izuku said with the last part at a low tone but they all heard it. They all put their heads down a bit. Aizawa himself hated the fact that Izuku felt like that. Aizawa feels like he failed Izuku and his brothers so much and wish he could have done something. Aizawa didn't really want to let Izuku go until he had to which seemed sooner than he realized. "So you will still really be under my watch but just in a different manner... I'll accept it. I don't really want you leaving my sight before you graduate so this would fix the staff issue but also keep you in my sight most of the time." Aizawa stated. Izuku already knew that Aizawa had a large fear now of losing Izuku. Izuku knew about his teacher's feelings of self-hatred in regards to losing Izuku's brothers and failing Izuku when Izuku never blame him in the first place. So he just accepted the fact that Aizawa would want him nearby in his line of sight whenever possible to ensure that he was still breathing since the surgery was touch and go for a while as Izuku later learned.  Even All Might had the hidden motive of wanting to be near Izuku more at UA so the teaching of the UA heroic classes would allow him to decrease his time in hero form out in public but also stay closer to Izuku. 

Now the topic was shifted back to the teaching topic since Izuku remembered about it. "AH! Almost made me forget! Now... you will get a teaching license... if I can get one so can you!" Izuku stated as he glared at his master. Gran Torino just laughed at them and agreed with Izuku. "Indeed... it would be weird if that fact got out to the public. How do you think they would react to you not having one?" Gran stated. All Might just rubbed the back of his head and gave in and called Nezu to start setting up a teaching certification class for him as well. Nezu had anticipated the call and had one already. All Might just had to sign in and start learning. 

Izuku got to work on his physical warmups and workouts. Over the summer break, he had pushed his control from 45% to 50%. Izuku had also started to plan out new attacks that he could use. One move that he figured out one day was interesting, to say the least. He combined float and the use of one for all and created a miniature tornado. Izuku would use float to stay in the air and then use one for all to rotate at a high speed which created a tornado that was strong enough to lift most people off the ground and throw them hard enough to knock them out. Izuku had to work on his ability to withstand his won rotation and not be affected by it in the end or else it was useless in combat. This move also screwed anyone with flying abilities that weren't strong enough to withstand the wind speed. All Might had told Izuku that his cross arm attack was similar to his Carolina smash but Izuku used it more as a force of wind attack to push people back and stun them when he used it to straight out knock people out.
