Your POV
2 days later

It's been 2 days since that incident at Jibeom's house, and I haven't seen him ever since. Mom has no idea what happened, and thankfully, the girls agreed to keep my feelings for Jibeom a secret until I decide to tell Mom.

It's not like I don't trust Mom or we're not close. In fact, we actually are close, but... there are just some things that I can't help but keep from her, because I feel like she wouldn't approve of it. I don't even know why I feel this way when she seemed completely okay when I finally decided to introduce Yeji to her as my friend. In fact, she was even glad that I finally got a friend. I wish I can just trust her more, but I don't really know how to start.

It's noon and I'm going to the cafeteria to have lunch when I notice how full it is. For some reason, suddenly it seems all the workers of the company decided to eat at the cafeteria. I stop in my tracks when I see how full it is then sigh in exasperation. It looks like it'll take forever to wait in line just to order your food.

Never mind. I'll just eat outside.

I then turn around and leave, heading for the exit of the company building. Once I'm out, I head towards the nearest restaurant and take a seat at a table near the door. I'm facing the door from where I'm seated, but now I'm looking out through the glass wall after the waiter had taken my order. Someone enters through the door, but I don't really pay attention to that person until I hear him speak.

"Y/N?"

My eyes widen when I recognize that sweet and innocent voice, and I basically whip my head towards the person to see Kim Jibeom, the man I had fallen for after getting lost in his own garden. "Jibeom!" I say, excitement showing in my voice as I quickly stand up. "W-what are you doing here? I mean, no offense, but-" I feel my face start heating up as I realize that I'm making things awkward. I smile awkwardly at Jibeom. "Nice to see you again."

He chuckles, and I feel my heartbeat accelerating. "Nice to see you, too, Y/N," he says with a sweet smile. He then gestures to the table I'm seated at. "By the way, mind if I sit with you."

"No. Not at all," I tell him as I gesture to the seat across me. "Go ahead."

Jibeom's face lights up and he nods and takes the seat across me. "Thanks." After taking his seat, he calls the waiter and asks for a menu. The waiter nods at him and walks away. "So... how have you been?" he asks.

I smile as I look at him. "Good, thank you. How about you?"

"Good as well," he replies. After that, neither of us seem to know what to say and we both look away from each other as awkwardness starts settling in around us. Thankfully, the waiter arrives with the menu, breaking the awkward silence, and Jibeom thanks the waiter before the waiter leaves. A few minutes after scanning the menu, another waiter arrives and takes Jibeom's order.

"By the way, what brings you here?" I ask Jibeom as I turn to him after the waiter had left. "I mean, doesn't your company have a cafeteria or something?"

"Actually, it does. It just happened to be really full today."

"Huh. Same." Suddenly, my eyes widen when I realize what I just said, and I place my hand over my mouth as I look towards Jibeom. His eyes are wide as well as he looks at me.

"W-wait, you mean, your company's cafeteria is full?" he asks, his eyes still wide.

Shoot. How do I avoid this?

I laugh nervously as I remove my hand from my mouth and look away from Jibeom. "I mean, of course I work at a company-"

"You don't happen to be Choi Y/N, the heir to SilverLining Fabrics, are you?" Jibeom asks, suspicion in his voice.
