Third POV

The man staggers as he is pushed into the dark room, the large men behind him closing the doors before turning back to guard him as he tries to get back on his feet after having been pushed.

A scowl in on his face as he looks towards the young woman seated behind the desk infront of him. "What do you want?" he snarls, looking despisingly at the woman. "Why drag me all the way here? I'm not even on my boss' side. If you want anyone to give you information, then you should have captured her secretary instead."

The woman only lets out a laugh as she leans over her desk, her chin resting on the back of her hand as she props up her arm. "Oh Youngjin, Sales Director of SilverLining Fabrics," she then says, catching the attention of the man as he looks at her with merely a frown now. "You must be desperate to become the CEO of your company now, aren't you?"

The man remains glaring at the young woman. "What do you want?" he asks again, though this time, he seems to actually mean it, as if expecting a worthwhile business deal.

The young woman smirks, tilting her head as she looks at the man menacingly. "I know what you did, Director Oh. You. Killed. Choi Y/N's. Mother."

The man's eyes suddenly widen, and in the next second, he quickly bows down with his forehead on the ground as he starts pleading frantically. "No! Please, don't get me arrested! I can't get arrested! I'll do anything you ask for, please!" He stops, however, when the young woman suddenly laughs out loud, and he looks up to see her looking amused.

"Oh, I didn't bring you here to get you arrested," she then says, and the man furrows his brows. "I brought you here... to applause you."

Her words only seem to confuse the man even more, and he just furrows his brows as he looks towards her. "What... what do you mean?"

"You've helped me. What you did there was a big step forward for my plans, and my hands were still clean in the end." The young woman continues explaining, and the man eventually starts to understand. "However, my plans are not completely carried out yet. I need someone who can help me. Someone who has access inside the company and knows whatever that witch is doing. You, Sales Director Oh, will do just that. Do that, and I promise you, you will become the CEO of SilverLining in no time."

By this time, the man had already become interested. He looks towards the young woman with a determined expression. "What do I have to do?"

The woman smirks with satisfaction. "Mr. Lee will hand you the details in a folder. Take it and read it at home. Just don't take it to work or else you might end up exposing yourself."

The man nods, then he is let out of the room after having taken his folder from the young woman's assistant.

Whatever it is they're planning, it definitely isn't good at all for anyone.

Your POV

Mornings.

It had been quite a while since Mom's death. A month to be exact. And by now,  I had already accustomed myself to a new habit I had earned due to my persistent exhaustion which had worsened everyday now since that incident. That is, going to the café each morning.

It never really mattered how much I slept at night. Apparently, not even nine hours was enough to get rid of my exhaustion. I'm even starting to think this extreme exhaustion might not just be physical.

I mean, of course, I'm still emotionally exhausted. After everything that happened.

Maybe I should just try and get a vacation sooner or later...

The bell above the door tinkles as I enter, and I soon walk over to the line, getting in queue, and waiting for my turn at the counter. It's a normal day as usual, and everything seemed pretty much normal this morning.

That's until something came and changed everything.

One second, the whole café was calm. The next, however, a black car pulls up next to the café, and suddenly, all heads turn towards it, including all the staffs working in the café, and mine.

Suddenly, a lot of people in the building get into some sort of frenzy as they recognize the car. I recognize it, too, and my brows furrow as the door of the car opens, and out steps a young lady about my age, dressed in a very fashionable manner, complete with sunglasses and a hat, and standing with poise as soon as she had stepped out.

My brows unfurrow upon the sight of her, and my suspicions are confirmed.

Immediately, I suddenly hear several camera clicks, and I glance around the café to see a lot of people with their phones out and taking pictures of the flashy newcomer.

She walks inside, the buzzing intensifies, and as she removes her sunglasses, I meet her eyes almost instantly.

Who is she? The only daughter of the head of the biggest fashion company in South Korea. The heir to Regal Fashions. Chou Tzuyu...

Jibeom's betrothed fiancée.
