Third POV
"Are you sure about this?" Jisu tells you. Right now the both of you are in her car the next morning, and she's driving as the both of you head to the SilverLining company.
"Yes, I'm sure," you tell Jisu with a definite tone. You know you have to do it now. If it were any later, the company could be in danger.
"But you don't have to rush becoming the CEO if you can't handle it yet, you know." There's concern in Jisu's voice and you turn to her with a reassuring smile.
"I'm fine, Jisu. Thanks for caring for me, but right now, I have to do what Mom has always been preparing me for."
Jisu turns to you with a concerned look, then sighs as she turns back to the road. "Alright."
She stops at a red light before turning at the intersection after the light had turned green. After the next few seconds, you're finally infront of the SilverLining Fabrics company building. You take a deep breath, looking at the tall building just outside, before opening the door. You then turn to Jisu with a weak smile. "Thanks for everything."
Jisu looks at you through the rearview mirror and nods, a small skile on her face as well.
Finally, you step out.
Your POV
I step inside the company building, my heels clicking on the tiles, and as the employees turn to me, I notice the shocked expressions on their faces. I'm not surprised, though. This should be expected. I give them all a small smile and a nod before I continue walking towards my office only to be interrupted when Mom's secretary suddenly approaches me.
"Miss! Miss Y/N! Thank goodness you're here!" she calls out to me and I turn to her, my brows furrowed in confusion and worry.
"Ms. Kim, what's wrong?" I ask her as she finally reaches me, almost out of breath and obviously panicking.
"Your mother's office... it's being torn apart... Director Oh is demanding that the company is his now because of all his contributions to SilverLining," she tells me frantically through her heavy breathing and my brows furrow even more, this time out of annoyance and disbelief.
"Director Oh"?
"Who does he think he is?!" I shout angrily as I start storming towards the elevators, Ms. Kim following behind me. When we finally reach the top floor, I step out of the elevator and head straight to the CEO's office to see Director Oh standing inside while giving instructions to some other employees who are basically getting rid of everything Mom ever owned inside the office. My blood boils at the sight and I walk over to the scene.
"Director Oh, what do you think you're doing?!" I shout as I approach him and he turns to me with a mocking smirk on his face.
"Ah, Miss Choi," he says as if he's delighted to see me. Meanwhile, I look at him with fire in my eyes. After I had shouted, I also noticed that the employees that were helping him have stopped moving, now looking at me with wide eyes. "Good to see that you're finally back." He then raises his nose in the air so as to look down at me in a mocking way. "It seems that you're doing well."
I glare at him. "Director Oh, what you are doing right now is absurd and against the law. I am sure that it has not been stated in my mother's will that you take over after her death," I tell him sternly, my grip on the handle of my bag tightening.
The man still seems to choose to be stubborn as he places both his hands on his hips, that mocking gaze still pointed at me. "Oh, are you now? So are you saying that you take over the company since it is in her will? Have you known this all along? Does that mean you actually did something to her just so you would get this company?"
