"Jibeom... what are you doing here?"
I look at Jibeom with a confused expression while he looks at me with that surprised expression still, seemingly just as confused as I am.
"Y-Y/N-"
Before he could finish his sentence, however, a chuckle escapes me as I look away from him, the wind blowing again and making some of my gair blow past my face. "Ah, sorry. Of course. This was meant to be our meeting place. I almost forgot about it because my train of thoughts led me somewhere else."
I can sense Jibeom's stare on me still, so, while still smiling, I invite him to come near the edge beside me. He nods, then walks over to where I stand, soon reaching the ledge and placing both his arms on the banister.
He lets out a sigh, then he speaks up. "Are you... are you doing good?"
I smile and nod without looking at him. "Mm-hmm..." I lie, though deep inside, I'm still hurt and angry.
I then notice Jibeom looking at me through my peripheral vision. Of course, he must have noticed something. "Y-Y/N-"
"I'm fine, really. I promise," I tell him, cutting him off as I turn to him while smiling. "How about you? How have you been doing? Are you-" I hesitate, but then decide to continue as I let my smile fade. "Are you still struggling because of your father?"
A sad look suddenly forms on Jibeom's face before he looks towards the scene, sighing heavily. He bites his lip before he speaks. "I'm sorry."
My brows furrow, but then I let out a sigh as I look ahead, too. "I'm sorry, too."
Silence takes over for a while, and we just spend that time looking towards the scenery calmly...
Then Jibeom speaks up.
"Y/N..." he starts and I turn my gaze towards him without moving my head. "If I said I want to have you back again... would you, too?" He turns to me, and I look towards him for a moment, not speaking at all.
A smile then forms on my face as I chuckle then finally turn my head towards him. "Why? Do you want us to get back together again?"
Jibeom's eyes widen, then he opens his mouth to speak. Suddenly, however, the sound of a camera shutter echoes from the bushes and both my and Jibeom's eyes widen before we both turn to the source of the sound. No one is in sight, and I start to feel slightly panicked.
"What... was that?" he asks, and I bite my lip while clenching my fist.
"We should go," I tell him without looking at him.
"W-what? Y/N, wait-"
"I'll see you tomorrow, okay, Jibeom?" I quickly say before I turn around and leave hurriedly. Whoever had taken that photo surely doesn't have good intentions.
Still...
Stopping in my tracks, I then turn back to Jibeom one last time. "Give me your answer to my question by then, too." I smile at him one last time, and I see his eyes widen right before I turn around again and finally leave.
As I get into my car, I just sit with my hands on the wheel for a moment as I try to organize my thoughts at the moment.
If I fix at least one of my problems by tomorrow, then I hope that will really happen. I really miss Jibeom, and I want us to be back together again...
And then there's the CCTV footage. Honestly, all I really wanna do is pin it down on Director Oh for all the words he's said and things he's done on my return to the company. I also have a feeling it might be him...
