chapter 53 : kartik apologises

"Naira and I never got divorced. I never submitted those papers in the court!"Kartik said.

"What?"Dev asked in confusion

"Haa,I was never going to divorce her. And I know I made a mistake by blaming her but I was an idiot..I just couldn't control my anger that day and I realized I made a huge mistake..!"Kartik said

"Naira doesn't know about this does she?"Sonakshi asked

"Knows what?"Kartik asked

"About the divorce. Naira does believe that you guys got divorced!"Sonakshi said

"I know.Naira thought I was going to file them but I never did. Before I could even tell the truth she left Udaipur!"He said

"Well,you should tell her the truth then!"Sonakshi said

"Truth?Are you kidding me?She is not even able to be in the same room as me right now.If she finds out that she is still married to me she will definitely hate me more!"He said

"If you lie to her you know how things will go don't you?"Sonakshi said

"You are right. I will talk to her but first I need to apologize to her...I really need to. I made a mistake and I hurted her so much. I know she hates me but I will do whatever it takes to make her mine again!"He said

"And I need you guys to help me!"He said looking at Dev and Sonakshi. Dev agreed and Sonakshi reluctantly agreed.

Naira came home and went into her room. She sat on her bed. Just then Akshara called her. Naira was still angry at what happened so she ignored her mother's call.

Akshara felt something was wrong and called again but she got no answer.

"Why is she not answering?Even if she is in a meeting she would message me but she is not doing that now. So that means something is definitely wrong!"Akshara said and got worried. She kept on trying and Naira finally answered.

"Haa Mumma?"Naira said answering calmly

"Naira?!What happened?Why didn't you answer my calls?Is everything okay?"Akshara started questioning Naira

"Mumma,nothing..actually I am a little tired so I came home. Nothing serious!"Naira said

"Huh?What?Naira you are so reckless!!You don't take care of yourself!this is why I told you many times that I will come and live with you but you always said no!"Akshara shouted

"Mumma relax!I am fine. Just having some headache and Mumma I am a big girl and I can take care of myself. You take care of papa,bhai and Bhabhi!"Naira said

"Akshara,is that Naira?"Naitik asked coming and Akshara nodded. He signaled her to give him the Phone and she did.

"Naira,Princess how are you?"Naitik asked

"Haa papa I am great. How are you?and everyone?"she asked

"Haa beta we all are good but things aren't same here without you princess. We miss you so much"he said

"Even I miss you papa. I miss everyone..!"Naira said to herself. Just then the door bell rang.

"Papa I have to go. I will call you guys tonight. Someone came. I love y'all. Bye!"Naira said and ended the call.

She went and opened the door to see Sonakshi.

"Sona?why are you back so early?"Naira asked

"You were alone so I didn't want to leave you alone. So that's why I came!"she said coming inside.Naira was about to close the door but Kartik came.

"What?!What the hell are you doing here?!"Naira shouted.

"We need to talk!"He said.Naira then looked at Sonakshi.

"Did you bring him here?!Is that why you came home?!"Naira asked Sonakshi

"Naira,this was not sonakshi's fault. I followed her. Please don't get angry at her!"Kartik said

"I will leave you two it!"Sonakshi said and left.

"Naira please listen to me. Give me one chance. We really need to talk!"Kartik said

"We don't. Get out of my house!"Naira said trying to close the door but it was already too late cause Kartik came in.

"Kartik get out of my house. Don't make me repeat myself!"Naira said trying to control her anger

"Today I am not going anywhere. You will listen to what I have to say..!"He said

"Did you ever gave me a chance to explain what happened back then?No right?!Then why shall I do that now?"Naira asked

"Because I was an idiot and you are not. Can't you just give me another chance?"He asked

"Naira please..!"He said taking a step towards her but Naira stopped him.

"Don't even think of coming close to me. You lost that right the very second you asked me to leave!Stay away from me!"Naira said

"Fine I will stand away from you,but just please give me a couple of minutes. That's all I am asking Naira!"He said and Naira just looked at him

"Fine!"Naira said taking a deep breath.

"Naira,I don't even know how to apologize to you. For everything I did in the past,I regret it. I regret it so much. I promised you I will always love you no matter what happens and I promised you that I would never do something to hurt you..but I did..!"he said and Naira remained silent

"What I did..I..don't know what took over me that day..that I blamed you to the whole thing. I know I should have listened to you and gave you a chance to speak but I didn't do that..!"

"In that second I forgot everything you did to me,my family. I forgot about my love for you in that second..you saved kirti's life when she was pregnant..you are the reason why we have Kirti and Krish both alive,but at that moment I forgot all of that Naira..!"

"Naira,I know I did something which is unforgivable. I wish there was something I can do to make things right again,I really do. But it's too late. I made a mistake..!"

"And Naira I have so many things which I want to tell you. But firstly I want to start with one thing. I am sorry Naira. I am sorry for everything. For blaming you and for hurting you. You suffered so much because of me and I wasn't there for you then..!"he said while naira was controlling her tears while she was listening to what he was saying.
