chapter 14 : naira's big decision

"Dadi Naira will stay here for tonight. She will sleep in my room. We shouldn't even move her to another room. In that way we will disturb her. You heard what the doctor said. Her Heath and well being is what matters. Let her stay!"Kartik said firmly.

"But Kittu...!"she tried to speak but Kartik stopped her

"Naira's health is important to all of us Dadi. Even she is our family member. She will stay here for tonight. Sangeet is over and tell the guests to leave!"Kartik said.

After sometime Kartik came to his room and saw Naira sleeping peacefully.Kirti and Mansi got Naira changed into comfortable clothes.

Kartik went and sat next to her on the bed. He placed his hand on hers and looked at her.

"I missed you so much...!"he said slowly.

Just then her phone rang. He grabbed her phone which was on the nightstand. Before he could answer it ended.

"Aditya?why is he calling Naira at this time?"Kartik thought after seeing the caller id and see over 10 missed calls.

Then Aditya called again and Kartik answered it.

"Arey madam! You told me to call tonight and you are not picking up the call huh? Are you angry with me? I am sorry yaar!"Aditya said. Kartik was confused about what he was apologizing about.

"Naira?Why are you not saying anything?"he asked.

"Woh actually..it's me Kartik..Naira is sleeping. She is having a headache..I saw her phone ring so I answered it...!"Kartik said

"Oh Kartik..you...is Naira okay? How is she now?"Aditya asked

"she's fine now. She's resting"Kartik replied.

"Okay then. I will call her tomorrow. Thanks for letting me know!"Aditya said.

There was a big doubt which kept killing Kartik. He wanted to ask Aditya about it but wasn't sure if that was a good move.

"Okay bye then!"Aditya said and was about to end the call but Kartik spoke.

"Aditya..one second!"Kartik said

"Yeah?"he asked

"Is everything okay between you and Naira? I mean you were saying sorry to her earlier when I picked the call...!"Kartik asked

"It's actually nothing. Everything is good. Earlier she scolded me because I was planning to do something which Naira didn't agree to. So I called to make sure is she and I were good!"he replied.

"Tum dono sirf dost ho ya doston see jyada?"Kartik blurted out

"What made you think we were more than friends?"Aditya asked with a playful smile understanding the situation.

"No no don't get me wrong..it's just I was wondering...!"Kartik said

"It's fine man. And Naira and I are just friends. Well best friends. And I am dating Zoya not Naira!"Aditya replied and Kartik felt so relieved.

After that Aditya ended the call while Kartik was lost in his thoughts.

"Why am I so relived to learn that Naira is not dating Aditya? Kartik you are thinking to much. You are marrying aashi is few days. Not Naira...!"Kartik said to himself. But yet he can't stop thinking about Naira. He never did in the last two years.
