chapter 25 : a plan for kaira

"So where are you taking me?"Naira asked as she and Kartik were in the car and Kartik was driving.

"You are so impatient. Can't you wait for sometime!" Kartik asked while he drove

"Fine fine! I won't ask again!"Naira said.

After sometime Kartik stopped the car. Both of them got down the car.

"Oh since when did you start liking to have ice creams in the middle of the night huh?"Naira teased as she saw an ice cream cart.

"It's not about me. It's your birthday and you love coming out at nights and have them. So I thought to bring you out now! I thought it would be more special to you!"Kartik said which made Naira smile.

"Aww,you are so cute. Thanks Kartik!"she said with a smile walking towards the cart.

"One butterscotch and one chocolate!"he told

"No,give us both chocolate flavors only!"Naira told the cart owner.

"Wait..Naira you hate chocolate flavor naa!"he said

"Well I did..but not anymore!"she said with a smile.

"So you like it now?"he asked and she nodded.

"So what's the sudden change huh? I mean the last time we had ice cream together you hated this flavor!"Kartik said as they sat down on the bench eating their ice creams.

"What's the big deal huh? You think way too much!"she joked.

"Well if I have to be honest I do like it. And it's your favorite flavor na? So I guess my taste changed!"Naira said

"What do you mean?"he asked in confusion

"Well after all you are my husband...so I thought of liking things which you like as well!"Naira said with a smile

"Are you serious?"he asked

"No I was just joking! Come on Kartik. I am human being. I can have change in my tastes and all!"Naira said and laughed.

After finishing Kartik and Naira went home. It was around 10pm when they got back home.

Kartik and Naira have been married for three months now. Kartik was in love with Naira but Naira didn't knew her feelings. She was still confused over them and maintained the friend zone with him. Kartik gave her the space she needs because he wants her to be sure about them.

Naira took a shower,got dressed and came out. She saw a file on the bed.

"This Kartik..he keeps saying something is important and he ends up forgetting taking it with him. He left in a hurry and forgot this file! I guess I should take it with me!"she said.

Naira picked up the file and went downstairs. She took the car keys and left. After sometime she reached his office.

The receptionist greeted Naira with a smile and told the directions to his cabin. This was naira's first time here and she never came here earlier.

She opened the door of his cabin and saw him searching the desks and taking everything out.

"Looking for this?"she said making him to look at the door.

"Oh god..I forgot it at home didn't I?"he asked and she nodded

"Thanks for coming all this way to give it for me!"he said hugging her.

"Kartik..!"Manish said coming in making them to part ways.

"Oh..I am sorry for..!"he said trying to control his smile embarrassing them both

"And it's a good thing you both are here actually...!"Manish said

"What happened papa? Is everything okay?"Kartik asked

"Haa Kartik everything is fine. Actually I wanted to talk to you about that Mumbai branch deal. So the investors want you to come there..for one week and I don't want to send you all alone so I was hoping you will take Naira with you!"Manish said and Kartik Naira looked at each other

"Papa I will go but Naira doesn't need to come. I will be fine. It's just a matter of one week right?"Kartik said

"Haa Kartik it is only one week but your Maa and Dadi will always be worried thinking about you!"he said

"It is okay. I will come. I mean I have nothing important to do. And plus I lived in Mumbai for years and I am missing it so I guess it's a good time to go now!"Naira said with a smile

"It's settled then..you guys could stay at our house there!"Manish said

"And if you guys finished doing whatever you were doing before I came..Kartik shall we go to the meeting?"Manish teased them making both of them embarrass.

Naira left after Kartik and Manish went to the meeting. After the meeting was done both Kartik and Manish went home as well.

"Papa did you do it?"Shubham asked

"I did. They both are going to Mumbai and our plan is a success!"Manish said happily.

Shubham and Mansi told Manish and Suvarna about kartik's feelings and how he hasn't been making a move.

"Still can't believe Kartik is staying quiet about this feelings. At least in this way he better open up!"Suvarna said

"Don't worry they will figure it out!"Manish said

"But what will we tell Dadi? I mean I am sure she wouldn't like the idea of them going Mumbai together!"Mansi said

"Don't worry. We don't need to tell her the truth!"Shubham said

"What do you mean?"they asked in sync.

"Well we will tell her Bhai is going for a meeting and Naira Bhabi is going to her house to stay with them for a week. In that case Dadi won't suspect a thing!"Shubham said

"That's a good idea. We should all say the same!"Suvarna said and they all agreed to it.

Kartik came to his room to find Naira packing her clothes. She even placed clothes for him to take beside her bag on the bed.

"You know you don't have to come. You could stay here at home!"Kartik said

"Acha ji? So you don't want me to come?"Naira asked

"It's nothing like that..I mean...!"he started but stopped when she spoke

"So what are you planning to meet other girls there? Is this why you want me to stay here or what?"Naira joked facing him

"Ji nahi!I would never do that! My heart is booked for only one person and that's you!"he blurted out and immediately realized what he just said.
