chapter 12 : a reunion

When Naira stood up she suddenly bumped into someone and when she was about to fall but a pair of hands held her. Naira slowly opened her eyes and saw him finally after two years.

"Kartik...!"Naira said

"Naira?"Kartik said in shock.Kartik realized that she was still in his arms. He slowly moved away from her and helped her stand up.

"What are you doing here?I mean in Mumbai?"Naira asked

"Actually I came here for a meeting!"he replied

"Oh that's great. It's been so long since we met. I haven't seen you since...!"Naira said and trailed off when Kartik finished her sentence.

"Yeah when you left after Naksh and kirti's wedding without telling me..!"Kartik said.

"I am really sorry for leaving without saying. I really am...!"Naira said.

"It is okay. Don't worry...!"Kartik said with a smile.

"Oh these are my friends..Zoya Siddiqui and Aditya Hooda and guys this is Kartik Goenka. My Kirti bhabi's brother...!"Naira said introducing them to each other.

"Nice to meet you!"zoya and Aditya said in sync shaking hands with Kartik after one and another.

"Same here and Aditya Hooda? Is your father harshvardhan Hooda?"Kartik asked

"Yeah that's my pa!"Aditya replied.

"I think I met him sometimes when he came to meet my father!"Kartik replied.

"That's great!"Aditya replied with a smile.

"Do you want to join us for lunch?"Naira asked

"I can't..I have to go now!"Kartik replied which made Naira a little upset and kartik didn't fail to notice that.

"But we could meet this evening if you are free..."he said looking at her.

"Sure..I mean that would be great...!"Naira replied with a smile.

"I have to go now. I will see you soon then!"Kartik said.

"You too!"Naira said with a smile. Then Kartik left.

Naira then went to the washroom.

"Order the food. I will be back!"Zoya told Aditya and went after Naira.

"Naira wait up!"she called out. Naira stopped and turned around to see Zoya.

"Wait a minute..this was the same kartik you met at your brother's wedding?"Zoya asked as they walked towards the washroom.

"What part of Kirti Bhabi's brother didn't you understand?"Naira asked

"Oh my god so he was the one that...!"Zoya said with a smile

"Okay okay shut up. You are going a little too far now!"Naira shot

"But seriously ever since you got back you didn't call him or always ignored his calls or messages back then!"she said

"Hey I didn't ignore his calls or messages okay. I was just busy with studies...!"Naira lied
