chapter 42 : love in greece - part two

After breaking the kiss Kartik and Naira came inside the hotel.

As they were coming back to their room Naira started sneezing.

"See what happened! You got us into that rain and now you caught a cold!"Kartik said opening the door.

"Huh? What do you mean I got us into that rain huh? You dreamt of this and now you are blaming me just because I made it come true huh? Blame your stupid dreams then!"Naira said sarcastically while Kartik gave her a glare.

"Acha don't worry. I will be fine. Just because I am sneezing doesn't mean I caught a cold!"Naira replied as they went inside.

"Haa I won't worry but only if you go and get changed quickly. You will feel better"He said. Naira nodded and went to get changed. Once she changed her clothes and came Kartik went to get changed.

Naira was drying her hair when Kartik came out. He walked past her and went to sit on the bed. He sat there and started checking his messages. After Naira was done she went and sat next to him.

"What happened huh? Why did you become so silent?"Naira asked him taking his phone away from him. Kartik remained silent and looked away.

"Okay now I can understand that something is bothering you. So are you planning to tell me what it is?"Naira questioned.

"I know this is coming out of nowhere but you do know how much I love you right?"Kartik asked looking at her.

"Of course I do. But what's the matter? Why are you talking about this all suddenly? Is everything okay?"Naira asked.

"Yeah everything is totally fine. I just I can't believe this is happening to us. Two years back when you left without telling me I thought I lost you for good. I always thought there was no chance for us again...!"Kartik started and Naira understood what he was trying to say.

"But we are together right? What's the need to think about all of this now?"Naira asked and he remained silent.

"Kartik look I know how you must have felt two years back and I am extremely sorry for that. But trust me I didn't mean to hurt you. It's just I wasn't really..um..I don't know how to say this..but..when we met back then and when I realized we were coming close I knew where it was going to go. And back then I don't think I was really ready to love someone or even to be in a relationship..I just I couldn't because of some reasons..!"Naira said. She stood up and went towards the window and stood there.Kartik was confused and thought about what those reasons were. He went towards her.

"What reasons? What do you mean Naira?"He asked facing her.

"Okay I guess you should know this. 6 months before I came to Udaipur of Bhai and Kirti bhabhi's wedding and before you and I met...me and Aditya broke up. Before he and Zoya got together Adi and I used to be a couple. Before we even became a couple me and Adi used to be best friends and we never let our break up affect our friendship. Nothing big happened but we called it off and we are indeed happy now. He is very happy with Zoya and I am very very very happy with you. But after that break up I thought it would be best if I concentrate on what i want to do instead of getting distracted"Naira said and Kartik stayed silent.

"And I know I should have told you about me and Aditya long back but I didn't know it would come out this way. And I want you to know I love you only and I am sorry for hurting you back then. You should know I would never do something to hurt you Kartik. I love you so much!"Naira said.
