Chapter 18

Raeni woke up with arms around her and something long and hard pressed against her back causing her to blush.

It was barely noticeable but it was there.

Emmett staying with her had been great. The sex, the cuddling, and him walking around her, no their house naked was a dream come true.

She loved it here.

"Morning." Emmett's husky voice whispered in her ear before pulling her body closer.

She loved it here.

"Morning love."

"What do we have planned for today?"

"Well for starters we have school," Raeni said bursting his bubble. "And we're already about an hour late."

"Welp then it's too late to go," Emmett said shrugging his shoulders not even bothering to open his eyes. "We'll try again tomorrow."

"We've got to stop doing this Em.... you don't even sleep so I know you heard my alarm go off," Raeni said causing Emmett to sigh.

"I know we've got to go to keep up appearances. You just looked so peaceful I didn't want to wake you up."

"It's fine but tomorrow we go. Gabby wants to talk to me about....."

"About?..." Emmett asked raising an eyebrow.

"Her and Edward. According to him, they're mates not that she knows." She says before turning and giving her own mate a kiss. "I'm going to go shower."

"Care if I join you?"

"If that's what you want to do I won't stop you."

~~Two Hours Later~~

"Where are you?!" Raeni heard once she answered her phone.

"I'm at home."

"I think we need to talk," Gabby said straight to the point. "I have a few things I need to get off my chest and I thought you were going to be here today but no you decided dick was better than school.... I'm not saying that it's not but..... that's besides the point!"

"Just come over when schools out I'll text you the address."

"Thanks."

"Do you care if Emmett stays?" Raeni asked biting her lip.

"He can stay if he wants this has somethings to do with him too," Gabby says waiting a moment before continuing. "I don't want to say too much over the phone. I'll see you later."

"I'll see you later."

With that Gabby hung up the phone and Raeni began leaning against her counter.

What could Gabby possibly want to talk about so bad besides Edward?

She sounded almost frantic like she was worried about something.

Had Edward already told her about the mate bond and how he and his family were vampires who liked to eat Bambi and all his innocent friends?

Or maybe she was panicking because Edward decided to ask her out even though not too long ago she beat up his ex-girlfriend.

Raeni sighed before putting her phone down.

There was no point stressing over this now especially when she was going to find out in a few short hours.

Hey, you guys I know it's short but this was just to set up the next much longer chapter. It's harder to type stories on my phone but never fear my new laptop should be here soon.
