Ayanna stood in front of her bedroom mirror with a worried expression on her face.

Today she was supposed to be hanging out with Seth but she had no idea what to wear.

Her mom had gone shopping out of town with their Aunt Alice, her brother was no good when it came to things like this, and hell would freeze over before she asked her dad.

Emmett no longer had a problem with the two hanging out but if she went to him he'd assume she was going on a date, she was but she wasn't going to tell him that.

Even though Emmett had gotten used to the idea of Seth and had even welcomed him into the family that never stopped him from giving the boy a hard time.

Raeni was usually here to rein her husband in telling him to leave the two alone, but Alice just had to ruin that with her last minute shopping trip.

"Will you stop pacing?" Malik asked barging into her room.

"Don't you know how to knock?!"

"Yeah but that doesn't mean I'm going to." He said before looking at the pile of clothes on her bed and raising an eyebrow. "Where do you think you're going?"

"Seth's coming to get me."

"Does dad know about this?"

"Of course he does, I heard mom tell him before she left," Ayanna said before running her hands through her curly hair. "I don't know what to wear Leek leek help me."

"If you stop calling me that stupid nickname."

"Deal," Ayanna said crossing her fingers behind her back, she was going to call him Leek leek if he liked it or not. "Have you seen Salem lately?"

"I talked to her on the phone a little bit this morning but besides that no not really," Malik said shrugging his shoulder. "She's great but I like when we have time apart. I don't want to end up like Uncle Edward... before Aunt Gabby came into the picture."

"Ohh you mean when he use to creep around and watch that Bella girl sleep."

"That's exactly what I'm talking about," Malik said continuing to look through Ayanna's clothes. "Auntie Gabby is having none of that. Remember when she went on vacation for a week and said he could come on day 3."

"He was heated," Ayanna said throwing her head back laughing. " She said she needed a little bit of me time before he can come ruin it... I love that woman."

"Here," Malik said throwing the outfit at her. "Put this on."

Malik had always been good at picking out outfits and today was no different, he had chosen a pair of skinny blue jeans, a white tube top, and an off white fur jacket.

It was simple but it was most definitely cute.

You're a lifesaver, Malik!" She said hugging her brother before rushing into her bathroom to change.

Once she was dressed she put her hair in a slicked back ponytail and put on a pair of white ugg boots.

She definitely looked like a bad bitch.

"Seth's here!" Malik yelled causing Ayanna to run out of the bathroom.

"Go open the door before dad doe-"

"Too late," Emmett yelled before opening the door. "Hey, Seth."

"Hey, Emmett. Is Ayanna ready?"

"Yes, let's go," Ayanna said running down the stairs. "Let's get out of here."

"Where are the two of you going?" Emmett asked before they could leave.

"Dad..."

"I promise im not coming to spy on you two but I want to know where you guys go so if something happens ill know where you guys are."

"I understand, I planned to take Ayanna to a movie and then out to eat."

"Okay....have fun...but not too much fun."

"Goodbye, Dad," Ayanna said dragging Seth out the house, she really didn't want to talk right now in front of her boyfriend.

You look great." Seth said opening his car door for Ayanna.

"Thank you and you don't look too bad yourself."

"I'm the best looking shifter you'll ever see in your life," Seth said with a cocky grin. "I'm like the devil's food cake of werewolves."

Ayanna couldn't help but laugh Seth knew her favorite cake was Devil's food cake and he also knew that he's obviously her favorite shifter.

"You're a mess." She said kissing his cheek as he drives off.

'Your mess."

"My mess."

Ayanna and Malik are so close it's cute. 🥰🥰 Has your brother/sibling ever helped you get ready for a date?? None of my good for nothing siblings have. 😑🙄
