Raeni didn't stop running until it was night time and when she did finally stop she realized she had run home.

Well not exactly. She was at a dock in Miami, Florida where she kept a boat so she could get home.

After a little bit of driving (boating?) and a little more running, she was outside of her old home. She was at her aunt's house.

She only had to knock once before her aunt Marie was standing in front of her with a wide smile on her face.

"Come in come in," Marie said opening the door a little wider so Raeni could get in. Once they were both at the dining room table Marie began gushing over her niece. "I've missed you so much Rae Rae what da wybe is?"

Raeni froze for a moment, it had been so long since she had visited and her vocabulary was a little rusty, but after a moment she got it.

"Een nothin, but I did want to talk to you about something."

"What is it? You know we can talk about anything." Marie said.

"My father...... is my father Caius from the Volturi?"

"Mudda sick! Don't say stuff like that too loud Rae! They've got spies everywhere!" Marie said before taking a deep breath. "Yes you are the only child of Caius, but he believes he has no children and I wanted to keep it that way."

"But why! I've been looking for my father for over a hundred years you've could've said something or given advice instead you told me to stay away from the Volturi my father!" Raeni said her frustration growing.

"You are different Raeni! Do you know what they do to the people who are different the people that they don't understand." Marie yelled. "Your father was hurt by a child of the moon and do you know what he did because one wolf made a mistake."

"No," Raeni said lowering her head.

"He hunted them down and killed them, now their damn near extinct."

"I'm a grown woman Auntie," Raeni said trying not to think about what happened to the children of the moon. "I should be able to make my own decisions. I'm no low fence."

"This isn't about you being a low fence! You don't have to be a low fence to die Raeni and I don't want that for you." Marie said as tears came down her face. "Even though you are half of that man you still half of Samara your one of the only things I have left of my sister. Samara was young and in love and look what happened to her and it's all because of him! Promise me promise me you'll stay away from him from Volterra."

Raeni didn't want to promise anything but if it gave her aunt some type of peace at mind she'd kind of promise to not see him.

"I promise I won't intentionally look for him."

Raeni promised that she wouldn't actively look for him but that didn't mean that if she unintentionally saw him she couldn't go after him or if she knew he was coming to Forks that she'd run in the opposite direction.

Even the immortal can die and Raeni didn't want to die without seeing her father in person at least once.

"Are you staying the night Rae?" Marie said wiping her tears. "I know you need your sleep before running off to where ever the wind takes you."

"Yeah I'll be in the back and we can talk in the morning."

"That sounds great," Marie said kissing Raeni's forehead. "Good night."
