Chapter 38

Raeni was about to go crazy, she had to change the twin's outfits three times already because they kept finding ways to mess up their outfits, Emmett still hadn't come back from hunting despite the fact they're supposed to bring the twins to meet her father, and her precious baby was almost out of gas. 

"I'm back," Emmett said meeting the face of his angry fiancé.

"You said you'd be gone for a few minutes Emmett Cullen it's been thirty!" 

Emmett could tell Raeni was a few seconds away from strangling him so he quickly wrapped his arms around her calming her down almost instantly.

"Tell me what's wrong."

"We have to go if we're going to make it in time, we still need to buckle the twins in, and after that, we have to stop at a gas station. We might be late... maybe I should just cancel."

"No, we'll be on time," Emmett said with a small smile. "Go grab your purse and whatever you need while I buckle the twins in, I'll also drive us to the hotel. They don't call me a speedster for nothing."

"Nobody calls you that."

"That's besides the point now go I got this."

True to his words when Raeni returned with her purse, a cute jacket, and the twin's travel bag everyone was in the car ready to go.

It took Emmett about eight minutes to get to the hotel leaving them two minutes to spare before they would be considered late. 

The hotel had a fancy restaurant inside that Raeni had been dying to eat at and she was sure her father and uncles would love to eat here too, that's why she had got up extra early to grow and grind her special vampire edible plants.

"Raeni!" Caius said pulling Raeni into a hug once they finally reached the table. "I was worried you wouldn't make it."

"We had a few problems but we made it in the end," Raeni said with a small laugh before pulling out of the hug and taking a seat beside Emmett. "Dad uncles I'd like to introduce you to my son Malik McCarty-Cullen and Ayanna McCarty- Cullen." 

"Do you mind if we hold them?" Aro asked. "It's been a while since we've been around children."

"Yeah, that's fine," Emmett said trying not to tense when Aro grabbed his daughter.

Seeing how Ayanna enjoyed her uncle's presence he relaxed, he didn't have a problem with the three kings they were Raeni's family besides they had never done anything to him.

"Look at her cheeks," Aro said snatching Ayanna, while Caius took Malik.

"They're adorable," Caius said smiling down at Malik, a very rare sight. "Have they showed signs of being gifted."

"I play with grass... tree hit Yanna," Malik said giggling. 

Raeni couldn't stop the snort that escaped her instead of a laugh, the tree hitting Ayanna like a golf ball still cracked her up more than it should have.

"Malik can control the earth something he got from me," Raeni said proudly. "I thought they both would be able to control everything like me but no he only got the earth."

"And what about Ayanna?" Marcus asked taking her from Aro.

"She can control and weaponize visible light," Emmett said. "Something she didn't get from me or Raeni."

"I'm sorry for you guy's wait is there anything I can get for you guys?" 

Everyone at the table looked at Raeni expecting her to order, the kings hadn't had real food in over a thousand years and Emmett didn't know if she brought her plants or not."

"We'd like five chicken parmesans, five side salads with ranch and French dressing, a side of breadsticks, and a small order of Italian meatballs."

"Will that be all for you?"

"Yup."

"It should be out momentarily." The waiter said before quickly walking away, she felt like if she stayed longer bad things would happen to her.

"You brought your special plants?" Caius said getting excited, he'd finally be able to try human food.

"Of course made them fresh this morning. I remember you telling me that you being in Italy and not being able to try their food was upsetting especially when it smelt so good, that's why I picked this hotel.

"That's... thank you Raeni... Emmett."

The three kings had tomato sauce covering their mouths and the sight made Raeni smile, she was finally able to help them get back what they had been missing. 

Even the twins had tomato sauce on their faces after devouring their Italian meatballs like it was nothing, but if there was a good eating contest she'd have to give it to either her father, her fiancé, or her son those boys ate like monsters.

"That was wonderful," Aro said wiping his mouth with his napkin. "When You leave after your wedding would you mind letting us have some of those plants of yours? We'd love to share them with our guard."

"Yes of course."

"There's something we'd like to talk to the two of you about," Caius said his face becoming serious. "Before you sent me a wedding invitation we knew you were here in Forks that's why we sent some of the guards here when the newborn army was being formed. They were here to confirm that you were here."

"How'd you know I was with the Cullen's? I didn't tell you where I was because I wanted you to think everything through. I'm almost sure that suddenly becoming a new father would be a lot for anyone."

"We got a letter from someone claiming to be my 'little helper', the letter just said you were here with the Cullen's." 

"Do you have the letter?" Emmett asked hoping the letter didn't come from who he thought it came from.

Caius pulled the letter out of his jacket pocket and handed it to Raeni who opened it and between her and Emmett so they'd both be able to see.

"Doesn't this look like...."

"....Bella's handwriting." Emmett finished, he knew he shouldn't have been surprised but he couldn't help it. 

"Who's this Bella you speak of?" Aro asked.

"Edward's ex-girlfriend, he was dating her until he found his mate. She didn't like that and she does anything she can to try and make us suffer. She's even tried to put the twins in harm's way" Raeni explained. "She's mental if you ask me."

"You know that the law states th-"

"We didn't break any laws," Emmett said quickly cutting Aro off. "Nobody told Bella we were vampires she researched legends and came to her own decisions, and Edwards mate Gabby was changed because we knew what would happen if we didn't. 

"You no longer have to worry about the Bella girl," Caius said. "I'll deal with her.

I know some people will think that people like Caius and Marcus are acting out of character but that's kind of the point. Caius never really had a reason to be happy so I gave him one, and Marcus... well I have plans for him. 

I've decided that I don't want Didyme to be Marcus's mate, instead, she'll be his best friend and her death is the reason he's all quiet and reserved. Marcus deserves love too!!
