Can You Feel It?

Chapter 2

The last period of the day could not come fast enough for Raeni, all she wanted to do was go home and take a cat nap before exploring the woods that surround her house.

She entered chemistry her last class of the day with a smile on her face.

She once again had to introduce herself to her another teacher before she was instructed to take a seat by the one and only Emmett Cullen.

"I'm Emmett Cullen." He stated once she had taken her seat. "But you already knew that."

"I'm sure there's no point in introducing myself but I'm Raeni Lei." She said not even bothering to face him.

She didn't know how she felt about the whole vampire mate soulmate thing she'd never been in love before so she had no idea what to expect.

"Will we constantly look at each other grinning like idiots? Will we become like Alice and Jasper? I can't see myself smiling as much as Alice." Raeni randomly said after a moment of silence.

"Wait what?" Emmett asked completely thrown off by her questioning.

It was completely unexpected.

"Don't play coy with me, Emmett. I'm well aware of the mate bond and I want you to know right now that just because I'm your mate doesn't mean you get to knock me up whenever you want another kid. I will not allow it." She said sticking a finger in his face.

"Wait a minute," Emmett said laughing quiet enough to not gain the teacher's attention. "How do you know about the bond?"

"You still haven't figured out I'm one of you?"

"If your one of us tell me what we are?"

"Vampires Emmett." She said rolling her eyes. "Don't let these green eyes and my ability to eat fool you."

"Contacts?"

"Nope." She said popping the P. "These are the eyes I was born with."

"How?...... That's that's impossible."

Not if you're born and not bitten."

"Born? Vampires can't reproduce we all....."

"Can I stop you? I'm going to stop you" She said trying to be patient with her mate. "Female vampires can't have kids but when a male vampire sleeps with a human woman and doesn't kill her after she can get pregnant and then you get someone like me."

"So out of curiosity when we become a real couple I can get you pregnant because your half human."

"I will not allow it." She said with a small glare before laughing. "Yeah, you could. Being half human is why I like to think of myself as Arnold Palmer's half and half sweet tea lemonade I'm just special like that."

"I think we'll make a good team," Emmett said with a small laugh. "Your funny I'm devilishly handsome we'll be unstoppable."

"Can we take things slow," Raeni asked. "I've never been in a relationship before and I don't wanna just jump into things you know?"

"Yeah... I understand. We can be friends best friends even and as time passes our relationship will grow." Emmett said right before the bell rang.

"Thank you for understanding." She said kissing his cheek and quickly grabbing her things and leaving the room.

"That new girls got a nice car." She heard before she got into it.

She drove to her house with 'Can't Remember to Forget You' by Shakira ft Rihanna on blast.

She couldn't relate to the song but Shakira and Rihanna where fun people to be around and they gave off a lot of positive energy.

She had met them both a few years prior in Atlanta before she had to move again but the experience was nothing less of amazing.

Once she got home she went to her room and immediately stripped herself of her clothes.

Raeni preferred to be naked and the only reason she had worn clothes to bed the prior night was because she had gone hunting with clothes on just in case someone was in the woods and when she came home she immediately fell asleep.

She doesn't usually wear clothes in the house and her bedroom is a no clothes zone but sometimes she's so tired she had to break her own rule.

Raeni believes in naturism/nudism a cultural movement practicing, advocating, and defending personal and social nudity, most but not all of which takes place on private property. So when she does wear clothes they're usually revealing.

Her mother and aunt believed in nudism so this is what she had been taught so many years ago.

She just hoped Emmit didn't mind.

Raeni grabbed a bag of sour cream and cheddar ruffles before running heading up to her room to take that cat nap she had been craving the chips are for when she wakes up.

She got under her covers and quickly fell asleep and she had stayed asleep for about an hour before she was awoken by a knock on her balcony door/ window.

It was Emmit.

She got up not even bothering to cover herself before unlocking and opening the door.

Emmit tried to keep his eyes on Raeni's face but it was hard not only was he a man but this was his mate and his mate was looking good enough to eat.

"How do you know where I live?" She asked ignoring his lack of eye contact.

"I could smell you," he said removing his eyes from her breast. "You said we could be friends and I wanted to know if you wanted to go do something."

"Yeah, we can do something. Let me get dressed and we can go." 

"You don't have to get dressed," Emmit said shamelessly looking Raeni up and down. 

"Friends," she said before entering the bedroom and leaving Emmit outside. "I'd let you in but my house is a no clothing zone."

"I could strip if you'd like..... I've got nothing to hide." 

"Friends." She repeated from inside her closet.

"You keep saying friends but you open your door for me naked. Emmit said the smile is wiped from his face. "Do you answer the door for all your guests naked?"

"No you don't have to strip stay outside and no I don't answer the front door naked........ well not usually" She answered with a small laugh just imagining the look on his face. "Your the only one who knows where I live and when somebody knocks on the door like a normal person I put clothes on, besides nobody jumps to my balcony to talk to me."

"Mhm." He said once she stepped out onto the balcony putting the clothes she had wore to school back on. "Where would you like to go?"

"Can we go to the mall I don't really have that many things to wear to school," she said for the first time feeling embarrassed.

"Your wish is my command," Emmitt said scooping Raeni up in his arms and jumping off of her balcony.

I know I know it's short but I'm working on a lot of stuff right now so work with me. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this chapter and I'd like to know your opinion on her nudity beliefs.

For those who think I'm moving two fast I don't plan to I just can't stand a clueless character and I want them to be good friends before they get into a serious relationship you know like real life.
