''Hey. What's up?'' Asks a voice, but I don't really pay attention.

''Hm?''

''I just asked how it is going.''

Does this person not see that I'm busy right now? I need to finish this. His birthday is in a few days.

''Um, yeah. Sure.'' I say without even looking up to see who it is.

''Katie?'' A hand randomly touches my arm.

That bracelet. He got this bracelet from me. I could recognize it anywhere.

My heart starts beating faster as I look up to see the person standing in front of me.

Our eyes collide, and those freaking butterflies are starting to fill in my stomach again. Every freaking time.

There he is. Hunter Collins ladies and gentleman. The misterious broken boy who I fell in love with.

''What ya doin?'' He asks.

''Uh, you know...just stuff.'' I babble and free my hand.

''Come on. You're not gonna get away with this you know that right?'' He says chuckling.

That damn smile.

''Let me see.'' He reaches out to the box, but I cover it with my hands.

''Nah. It's a surprise."

''Whaaat? I told you not to get me anything.''

''Yeah I know. But it's your 18th birthday Hunter.''

''So? I have everything I need. I got Skye. I got you. It's enough.''

Yes Hunter. You got me. But not like that.

Gosh! Why does it have to be so damn hard?

''Katie?'' He keeps waving in front of my face.

''Yeah. Okay. I got it.''

''Woah. Someone is very grumpy today. Well, I'm gonna go check on Skye.'' I nod and he walks away.

I'm looking at the pictures we took so far. We both look happy. Like nothing ever happened. I wouldn't say we've moved on. But at least it's easier. He's always been there for me when I needed someone. Not from the very first day. Though I could always count on him when something wasn't in its place.

But honestly, it doesn't seem any easer right now. I'm fully into this damaged guy and I have no freaking idea what I'm going to do. He sees me just as her little sister. The problem is though, that I don't feel as he is just a big brother to me.

''When are you gonna tell him?'' Says another voice from behind.

And here comes Lizzy. My best friend.

She was the first person who came up to me when I got here. Since then, we are like inseparable. She's like a sister to me.

''Hi Liz.''

''So?'' She's looking at me with a questioning look and sits down.

''Tell him what?'' I ask if I wouldn't even know what's she's talking about.

''Oh come on. I see the way you look at him.'' She says with a cheeky smile.

''Liz it's not like that. He's just like a brother to me.'' I lie.

''Yeah, you say that to yourself. But I see what I see.''

''Whatever.''

''Okay grumpy cat.''

''Ugh, don't start it you too!'' I lay down my head facing the table, then look back up. ''Look. He only sees me as just a girl who hangs out with him and his sister.''

''That's not true. You don't have the eyes like me. Aaand, also my love radar senses some extraordinary chemistry when you two look at each other. Just when we add that thing to that other thing on Chemistry class and BOOM! Fireworks.'' She says imitating movements.

I swear to God she could go for a movie audition when she finishes high school. She would be a great actor for sure.

''Oh stop it. You nerd.'' I say rolling my eyes.

''But it's the truth. I see the way he looks at you everytime he sees you. Man! I love being a therapist.'' Her smile grows as she's saying these words.

I'm wondering though, what if she's right? What if Hunter really likes me that way?

''Oh boii. Just don't get too excited.''

''I'm way too far away from that.''

''I bet.''

''But seriously. You should tell him.'' She stands up. ''Talk later?''

I nod and she slams my hand, then walks off.

I let out a big sigh and lay my head on the table covering my face.

''Great.''
