I'm scrolling through the photos on my phone. I don't have that many. Just some of my parents and my sister.

Suddenly I feel as someone's watching. I look up and see that I was right. That girl again. She's been staring at me for a long time. Ever since she got here, she's staring at me like a freak. Like what is her problem? I don't even know her. I have know idea what she wants, and it's starting to get a little annoying.

I keep looking at the photos, but I still feel as she's staring.

I can't help it, but look at her. She doesn't even move. She's just staring. But what's super weird about this whole thing is that I swear to God that she knows what's going on with me.

There's something about this girl. I don't know what, but it's like she already knows me even though we haven't even talked. I don't know. I mean, it feels as if everytime our eyes meet we could just communicate with each other. And it wouldn't be a problem if I was a normal kid. But I'm not. And yes...she looks beautiful. But I'm not gonna get anyone close to me. Not even a soul.

''Hey!'' Calls a tiny voice.

I look up. It's her. She's here.

When did she sit down here? I didn't even notice.

I don't even say a word just sit and keep looking at the screen.

''What are you watching?'' She asks and leans closer.

I still don't show any signs that I'm alive.

''Who are these people? Your parents?''

This is the time when I get back to reality and see that she came closer and that she's looking at the screen.

I quickly lock it and hide it in my pocket.

''Are you okay?''

''Don't touch my stuff!'' I say angrily and stand up.

''Sorry! You just looked like someone who needs a friend.'' She says in a shy way.

''I don't. You can go.''

But for God's sake she doesn't wanna leave.

''I thought we could talk.''

Jeez! Will she ever give up?!

''I said I don't wanna talk. And I don't wanna be friends either. I don't need anyone. Leave me alone!'' I shout at her and run away.

I look back once before I disappear behind the door.

She's standing by the desk looking so freaking sad.

I shouted at her like an animal.

What kind of a man I am?

I know I'm only 13, but my dad always said ''no matter how old you are, always respect women at all age, and treat them as a real man should!''

And what did I do now?

I made this girl sad. She's sad because of me.

Nice work Hunter! Nice work!

I walk back to my room and rip the door open. I wait a few seconds before I go in. I kick my skateboard out of the way and hop on my bed with a big sigh.

''Why do we have to live like this huh?'' I ask as I'm looking at the Spider-Man poster above my desk. ''Why?''

I fall back on the bed and let my thoughts continue torturing myself.

I wake up to Katie's voice.

''Hunter!''

''Hm?'' I don't even open my eyes.

''Wake up!''

''M-mhh.'' I shake my head.

''Come on! You need to go!''

''Just one more minute please!'' I beg.

I need more sleep. I wanna lay in bed all day.

''I'm gonna rip off the blanket if you don't get up in 3-2-1...''

''Okay, okay. I'm up.'' I say quick and open my eyes.

And hell yeah it was worth it. I would lie if this wasn't the most beautiful thing to wake up to.

It seems as if nothing happened last night. Katie's smiling. And she looks different. Something's changed. But what?

''I wish we could do this every night. I'd be happy to see you at first in the morning.'' She says out of nowhere.

She doesn't even know how much it warms my heart.

''We can make that happen.'' I say right away before I would even think what I'm about to really say.

''What? How?''

Okay Hunter. You need to come up with something if you brought it up.

''Well, I can sneak in and out every time you want me to.''

That'll do. I wanna spend more time with her anyway. And if I think of it, it's maybe not that hard to make it happen.

''Yeah. But I don't wanna risk your chances to stay in this place. I even have guilt that I brought it up last night. I'm sorry.''

''No. Don't be!'' I touch her hand and look right into her eyes. ''Let me ask you something.'' My heart skips a beat as I'm touching her hand. ''Did you sleep well?'' I ask quiet.

''Yeah, but still...'' She starts. But I know what's coming, so I cut her off.

''There's no but still.'' I touch her hand with my other hand too. ''It's already decided. Every night at midnight I'll be at your door.'' She's looking at me judging. I let go of her hand and point my forefinger at her. ''Don't give me that look! You know you can't do anything to stop me.'' I put on a cheeky smile and she already knows that I defeated her. ''And now, if you'll excuse me, I need to sneak out from a girl's room without getting noticed by that mean old witch.'' I say with a cheeky smile.

I sit up on the edge of the bed and put on my shoes. I look back behind my back before I stand up and see that she's looking at me with a big smile on her face. I instinctively smile as I see her like this. Gosh! How sweet she is...

I look at my watch. 6:22. Mrs. Baker won't be shouting 'til 6:30, so I'm good.

''Alright. I'm gonna go.'' I stand up. ''I'll meet you downstares.''

''Okay.''

I go to the door and look back one more time before I pull down the handle. I just can't get that smile off my face.

I'm wondering, What happened to that Hunter who never even smiled?

''Everything's okay?'' Katie asks.

''Yeah. I uh...nothing. See you later.''

She nods.

''See you soon beautiful!'' I say in my head and leave the room.
