I'm at the house. Mom is making me cocoa.
I like watching her. She's amazing. I love my mom so much.
''Hunter!'' She calls. ''Please give me that cup, honey!''
I jump off the couch and run to the kitchen. I grab the blue cup she's pointing at and hand it to her. She takes it and pours the cocoa in it. In the mean time, I climb on the kitchen counter and start wabbling with my legs.
''There you go. Try not to spill it!'' Says mom and holds out the cup. I take it over and smile at her. ''Careful! It's hot.'' She adds.
I start blowing it and slowly take a sip. Not much later, the door opens.
Dad came home.
''Ola familia!'' He shouts.
''Daaaad!'' I jump off the counter spilling most of the cocoa to the ground.
I look back at mom. She's looking at me serious narrowing her eyebrows. But I just keep running and jump into my father's arms.
''Hey buddy! How's it goin'?'' He asks squeezing me.
''I missed you dad!'' I reply excited.
''Missed you too squirrel!'' He says and looks at my hand. ''What ya got there captain?''
I look at the cup I'm holding, and I see it's empty. All of the cocoa is gone.
''Uh...mom made me cocoa.'' I answer with a big smile.
''Yeah? Was it good?'' I nod distinctly and lick my lips.
He lets me down and puts his hand on my shoulder.
''I gotta talk to mom. Take a shower and go to bed. I'll be there in a few minutes.'' He says and tumbles my hair.
I nod and run to the bathroom. I take a quick shower and brush my teeth.
A few minutes later I'm standing in my room in my Spider-Man pyjamas looking at the Spider-Man poster on the wall.
I admire him. The coolest guy ever!
Then I start imitating him.
At least I try.
I keep jumping on and off the bed. I try to do some spider stunts and try my virtual web shooter. This goes on and on every night. It's some kind of a night ritual for me.
''And here comes the green Goblin!'' I hear dad yelling from the hallway and storms into my room.
I try to fight him, but he's too strong. He quickly grabs me and we land on the bed like a big bomb. The bed gives a slight cracky sound.
''Don't tell mom!'' Dad whispers and his smile grows.
''I won't.'' I say and we make our pinky swear.
He tucks me in and sits down on the edge of the bed. I cover my face with the blanket but he takes it off.
''Good night Spidey!'' He says and kisses my forehead.
I give him a smile. He smiles back once more and starts to walk out of the room.
''Dad?!'' I call.
''Yeah?'' He turns around.
''Was grandpa a hero when he was at war?'' I ask curious.
''Yes bud. He was.''
''Was he like Spider-Man?''
''Well, he saved many peoples' lives.'' He pauses for a sec. ''So yeah. I guess he was.''
''Cool! I wanna be like grandpa.'' I say proudly with a big smile.
''What do I always say?'' Dad asks.
''With great power comes great responsibility.'' I answer enthusiastically.
I know this quote by heart.
Thank you Uncle Ben!
''Exactly. Keep that in mind!'' He switches the lamp off and closes the door.
I glance at the Spidey poster once more and close my eyes.
