Kyra's POV

Julius and I arrived home in half an hour. My entire mood had changed. I felt angry, confused and restless. I really needed to take a bath, relax and go to sleep.

"Are you sure you are okay, Kyra? You've been acting odd," Julius asked as we both made our way upstairs. We had eaten at the party so we weren't going to have dinner.

"I'm okay, Dad. I just feel tired and a bit drowsy. My head feels a little heavy as well."

"Should I call for a doctor?"

"No, thanks. It's nothing a painkiller can't fix. I'll take a bath, take some pills then go to sleep. I should be okay in the morning."

"Should I watch over you?"

"Dad, I'm okay. Go to sleep. You've been on your feet all night long. You need rest more than even I do. Go and get a good night's sleep."

"Okay, I give up. Goodnight, Kyra."

"Goodnight, Dad."

We both went our separate ways to our bedrooms. When I entered my bedroom, I took off my jewellery first and put it safely away.

I removed my heels. I needed help with my zipper. I couldn't do it on my own. I was all alone and had no one to help me. Jayden was probably fast asleep already. I started struggling with it.

I heard a soft knock at the door and I smiled inwardly. He was always right on time.

I went and opened the door for Jayden. His hair was all messed up and it was a huge turn on for me. I could already imagine my hands in his hair, the two of us making out like never before.

"Hey, Kyra."

"Hey, Jayden."

"How was your night? You look tired and restless."

"It was superb. Just a lot of dancing and standing around. It's nothing a good night's sleep can't fix."

"I hope so, Kyra. I won't take much of your time then. I just wanted to check on you. Sleep well," he said patting my hair. That was really cute.

"Don't you wanna crash in here tonight? I promise to be a good girl," I invited him with a hint of naughtiness. Jayden chuckled and then he cupped my left cheek and kissed my forehead.

"Kylie is here. She won't like it. I don't wanna upset her. I'll crash in here once she leaves," he explained apologetically.

"I understand. Help me with my zipper before you leave, please."

"Sure. It's the least I can do," he said and I turned around.

Jayden pulled down the zipper carefully. He was really gentle and I ached to feel his fingers on my skin. Even just a graze would be okay. The odds seemed to be against me. He was done before I even knew it and we didn't even have any skin to skin contact. Ugh!

I looked at Jayden and gave him a tight smile while pushing back loose strands of hair. I felt like punching his handsome face. He didn't even get how much my body was aching for his touch.

"Thanks."

"Sure. Goodnight, Kyra. I love your bra, by the way," he remarked and my face went all tomato on me. How humiliating.

I faced away from him shyly and he left. Was this really happening?

Thank you, Mom.

I stopped daydreaming after Monica came back into my mind. The thought of anything happening to her disturbed me. She was Nick's sister, his best friend. She was special to my husband and everyone I knew. She was special to me too. Losing her would be painful. She was the mood maker. We all needed her.
