Chapter 64: Suspicious Mistakes

Jayden's POV

I sat buckled up in my black SUV waiting for both Kyra and the chauffeur. Kyra was still inside, talking to Dad. They had been talking since breakfast ended for like fifteen minutes. I scrolled through my emails from Valencia in the mean time to catch up on my schedule.

Kyra joined me a few minutes later with a bright smile on her face. I still wondered how I got to be so lucky to have such a gorgeous wife in every sense of the word. She sat next to me and fastened her seatbelt then she turned to me.

"I hope I didn't take too long and you aren't late for your work. I just met the chauffeur and he'll be here shortly."

"It's okay. Will you be busy today?" I asked her, sliding my cellphone into my pocket. I put my hand around her shoulders and pressed my lips to her forehead, kissing her.

"Yes, but I'll be home before eight. I have to catch up on work. I also have responsibilities as a Casella now so the workload is even more," she replied, looking up at me.

"Just take care of yourself and don't let anything stress you out. I'll be in my office if you need me. I'll be at your service for anything at all," I said, brushing the pad of my thumb against her full lips.

"Even if it's naughty?" she asked, her hand cupping my cheek. I leaned in and murmured against her lips, "Even better."

My lips settled onto Kyra's soft pair and I caught her in a heated make out session. I framed her beautiful face with my hands and we kissed like our lives depended on it, pressing our bodies together as our tongues danced fiercely for dominance. At this rate, I could take her in the car because the passion burning between us was fresh, lively and unquenchable.

Kyra and I snapped, pulling away from the kiss when the chauffeur opened his door. It was one hell of an awkward moment as we pretended nothing at all was going on a few seconds ago.

The chauffeur drove off after I gave him the command to do so. Kyra's lipstick was smudged and I had some on my lips. We both fixed ourselves up with small grins on our faces.

We arrived at the company premises in twenty minutes. We were escorted to our floor and I walked Kyra to her office first. Since the curtains were still closed, we made out for a few minutes to make up for the interruption earlier.

Her first meeting was in five minutes so I had to leave her to prepare. I went straight to my office. Val was already on her desk. My first meeting was with Lisa Casella to revise the terms of her contract with our company.

As usual, Lisa was on time and it took us half an hour to finish our meeting, leaving some spare time to talk  casually. She told me Kylie's hilarious version of our break up that completely made me look like the bad guy.

Through her, I got to know more about Kevin. I wasn't really surprised by the fact that he was the guy from Kylie's erotic photoshoots. She had been with him for longer than I expected, but it didn't hurt because I was with someone better for me who made me happier.

She opened up to me regarding her relationship with Kyle. They were doing great and I was really happy for both of them. It had already been two months and they had beautiful plans for their relationship. I could tell that she was serious about Kyle and she really loved him. He deserved a peaceful relationship after many messed up relationships.

Kyle joined us and he bugged me a lot regarding my break up and new relationship with Kyra, reminding me of the day when I got the news of my marriage to someone I didn't even know. Destiny really had its way of doing things.

After Kyle and Lisa left, I had a meeting with some investors for two hours. I had a thirty minutes break till my next client, giving me time to catch up on paperwork.
