Kyra's POV

"I thought you said Jayden is in a coma. How can he come if he's in a coma?" I asked Natasha who was busy taking off her heels and slipping into sneakers.

"I don't have time to answer such questions right now. What's important right now is that you are out and Trevor and his men are probably after us right now, ready to turn this forest into a battlefield," Natasha fussed, panic evident in her voice.

"Will you calm down? You chose this, Natasha. You knew the consequences," Elia hushed her. He was focusing on driving. He seemed to know where he was driving to and used to the bumpy road.

"Do you think he's following us or he'll just let it go. I mean, he'll get caught if he follows us," Natasha continued chattering. She was much more scared than I was.

"This is Trevor Martins we are talking about. He's coming and he's probably already ahead of us. You should have at least had a plan in mind before doing all this."

"We have the jackpot here. We have a billionaire's wife and he's coming to get her. I'm sure he has a plan. He's the smart one after all."

"Natasha, you know..." Elia stopped talking when something pushed the car forward with a lot of force. Natasha and I both turned around to check what it was.

"They are here. Gosh. That was too fast. Drive faster Elia."

"We can't escape," Elia sighed, but still increased the speed. It was of no help because the car behind us kept on colliding with ours.

I held onto a seat to avoid hitting my head over something. Before I even knew it, our car hit a tree. All I could hear was glass shattering, brakes screeching and Natasha's earsplitting scream. Everything was awfully familiar.

I lost my dad in an almost similar situation. Painful memories flooded back into my mind. My head had hit the seat in front of me. It was spinning. I touched my forehead. There was blood. I knew I was hurt.

"Princess, are you okay?" I heard Elia's voice ask faintly.

"My head. I hit my head on the seat. I don't know where the blood is coming from but I'm bleeding," I panicked.

"D-don't worry. It's a tiny scratch on your forehead. You'll be fine, okay? Jay is coming to save us," Natasha panted, holding my hand. She looked unhurt but rather shocked.

A few seconds later, our doors were opened and we were each dragged out like filthy dogs. The contact with the rough ground hurt. I begged for mercy and screamed for help but no one listened to my pleas.

I closed my eyes in the process. When whoever was dragging me stopped, I opened my eyes. We were on clear ground. It was a big open space.

I looked around me. There were about five muscular men guarding the place. Natasha and Elia were opposite me, held prisoners by two burly men with colourful tattoos flashing on their sweat dripping arms.

Trevor made his grand entry in a white Land Cruiser. He exited his car like some superhero. One thing that pleased me was how hurt his face was. He was also limping. I felt good knowing I did that to him.

He had changed into black jeans and a black shirt. I hated everything about him. He first limped over to Natasha and Elia. He kissed Natasha wildly then he punched her in the face. He busted her nose. She was bleeding.

"Trusting you was a huge mistake. I should have known it'll always be about the money for you. After she dies, you're next," he promised her confidently.

Trevor moved on to Elia. He just laughed and patted his back. He turned away as if about to leave him, but then he turned back to him punched him over and over again in the face.
