Kyra's POVI stood up from the bed. My knee was throbbing with pain, but I didn't care. I needed pain relievers. Nick was taking too long.
I struggled to walk. I tried my best, but I fell down. Sitting in a wheelchair and sitting all day long was making me weak and paralysed. My back ached. My other leg was in pain as well.
I cried out in agonising pain. I looked at the floor. The white fluffy rug I fell on was stained with blood. My knee.
"Jayden!" I cried out in pain. Even after we fought and everything I went through because of our complicated relationship, his name was the first to slip from my tongue. It was like a natural cry of help I knew he'd answer.
In a split second, the door burst open. It wasn't just Jayden, but Nick as well. I couldn't stop screaming in pain. It hurt unbearably.
"Kyra, why are you on the floor? What happened to you?" Nick asked, worry lacing his voice. Jayden was already on the floor with me, looking broken, hurt and puzzled. He didn't even know where to touch.
"Jay, it hurts a lot. Please help me," I cried out.
"Nick, I'm afraid of hurting her. You're the doctor. Do your job," Jayden said, his voice full of panic. His hand was in mine. I held on like my life depended on it.
"You're the husband. Come on. Carry her. I'll get her medicine," Nick said, looking around the room as if he was certain something he wanted was there. He left the room in a hurry after mumbling incoherent things.
Jayden looked at me and he cupped my cheeks helplessly. He collided our foreheads.
"I'm so sorry. I'm a bastard. I'm a jerk. I'm sorry. I keep on hurting you."
"Jayden what are you doing? Carry her onto the bed. She's only hurting more on the floor," I heard Nick boom. I looked at Jayden and nodded.
He stood up, swooping me cautiously into his arms. I screamed. It hurt a lot. He put me on the bed and knelt down, holding my hand. He kept on rubbing it.
I looked at Nick who was busy rolling down my stocking. I looked at all the things he had. I was very familiar with them all. They reminded me of the pain I had experienced the first time my knee was treated.
"No! No no no! Jayden, please take me away. Get me out of this place. I can't do this again," I cried, gripping onto his shirt.
"Kyra, it'll sting just a little bit. I just have to rub in...."
"No!" I screamed, kicking my legs. It only hurt more. Nick held them gently in place.
"Baby, come on. I'm here with you. Just hold on to me. It will be over soon."
"Nooo. It hurts a lot. I can't take it," I cried louder.
"Jay, calm her down. I have to treat her," Nick asked Jayden. I looked at the two gentlemen. The intensity of worry on their faces was unbelievable. Jayden sat on the bed in a hurry and he hugged me. He buried my head into his chest.
I gripped onto his shirt and balled my fists. I sobbed into his shirt, soaking it with my tears. He held me even closer, running his fingers tirelessly in my hair. That didn't stop me from screaming into his chest. He didn't let go as well.
I felt a stinging sensation on my knee. It was stinging, burning, scalding and so much more. I wrapped my arms around Jayden and gripped on tight. My nails dug into his flesh.
"It's okay, Princess. It's almost over now," Jayden promised me, holding me even much more tighter. He was trembling as if he was shedding tears as well. It was like he could feel my pain.
