Me and Reece had been dancing away for a couple of songs, and then Connor suggested we played Never Have I Ever.
"Oh yes!" I said. I grabbed my drink and then spotted a spare seat next to Brad who was busy talking to Blake about something. I made my way over to Brad and sat down next to him.
"Well this could be interesting." Brad said, breaking up the conversation with Blake and looking at me.
I agreed, holding my cup out to Con who was heading around topping up people's drinks ready for the game.
Once everyone was sat in place in a circular shape, we began the game. Connor started.
"Never have I ever pulled a whitey." He smirked at me.
"Oh fuck you." I said, taking a sip of my drink. "I was only a kid."
"You were 16." Con laughed.
"Never have I ever lied to my parents about where I'm going." Luce continued, heading around the circle.
Practically everyone took a sip, including me.
"Let's spill, I'll start." I said. "The worst lie I told was when I was in Year 10, I told my parents I was going to my friend's house for the weekend, but went to a festival with my boyfriend at the time instead. I lied because they'd told me I wasn't allowed to go to this festival and they worried about me staying with my boyfriend."
"I remember that. You called me because you both got stuck at the festival with no way home so I had to get an old friend from Scotland to pick you up." Con laughed. "I saved your ass." That is true. It was 2014, Con had moved to London because of the band but I was still living with mum and dad in Scotland so he had to get a mate he'd known since school to get me.
"Yeah, thanks for that." I said. Everyone went around the circle telling their stories.
"Okay, never have I ever stayed up all night." Kirstie said.
Everyone except Kirstie drank.
"When I have to finish assignments for school." Luce said.
"On tour, am I right boys... and Maddie." Tristan said, and we all agreed.
"Tour's a killer for staying up all night." I said.
"Alrighty, never have I ever googled myself to see what comes up." James said.
Brad, Con, Reece, Blake and George all drank.
"More than once." Con laughed.
Okay, my turn... "Never have I ever fallen offstage whilst performing." I said, smiling at Connor innocently.
"Very funny." Con said sarcastically, taking a sip.
I looked at Brad, waiting for him to say his. "Hmmm... never have I ever drunk text the wrong person."
"I drunk text Reece something well bad on my 18th." I widened my eyes and took a sip.
"We don't talk about that." Reece said, pulling the same expression as me.
A few others told their stories, and Con told the story about a text he meant for Luce but sent to dad. That's..... an interesting story.
Reece gave me a look before talking. "Never have I ever had a crush on my friend's sibling, or my siblings friend."
I mentally kicked Reece in the face. Alarm bells went off in my head as no one drank. Screw it.
I drank.
And Brad drank.
I suddenly started choking on my drink in shock.
Brad instantly placed his drink down and started patting my back.
"Oh shit." Con said, getting up and making sure I was okay.
"Sorry, I'm okay." I spluttered, gaining my composure. "It... must've gone down wrong."
"Or not." Con winked at me, then turned and went and sat back with Luce.
I looked at him, frowning. Why is he acting so weird?
"Are you okay?" Brad asked.
"Yeah thanks." I said, and laughed nervously.
"So, little sis and Brad..." Con said. "Can't help but notice you both drank."
"Maddie! You have a crush on someone?" Reece said loudly. "Why didn't I know."
I don't trust myself right now. I'm drunk.
"I'll talk about it tomorrow." I said.
"Connor said he thought there was a girl in your life." James teased Brad.
Reece suddenly gasped. "I get it!" He said. He looked between me and Brad. "Only you two drank. It's something between you two isn't it."
I stood up panicking. "No! No it isn't. Reece, out in the hallway right now." I avoided eye contact with everyone as I walked out, Reece following.
"It's Brad." He said.
I sighed. "Okay, yes. I meant to tell you but was too scared!"
"I knew it! The way you've been acting around him. It was pretty fucking obvious." Reece said.
"Shit. Everything is going wrong. Brad's gonna know and hate me, Con's gonna flip out at me. Reece why did you ask that question?" I said, my chest tightened as I began to panic.
"Hey, hey. Calm down. I'm sorry." Reece said, rushing to me and hugging me. "Want me to go and get Connor?"
"Yes. No. I don't know." I said, closing my eyes and taking a deep breath. This wasn't how I ever imagined this going down.

I looked at Brad, who looked both shocked and worried. Well damn.... that confirms my suspicions.
He likes my sister.
I was about to go to speak to him when I heard Maddie frantically talking to Reece in the hallway.
"Con, you should go out there." Luce said.
I nodded and walked out into the hallway. I was met with Reece hugging Maddie, her breathing rapid.
Reece saw me, and he genuinely looked disappointed with himself.
"I'm so sorry." He said.
"Don't apologise. We were just playing a game." I said. He walked away from Maddie, and as he walked past me I whispered to him. "Pull Brad into the kitchen. I'll come and speak to you two when I'm done with Maddie."
He nodded and left.
"Mads." I said, "Calm down, you're gonna have a panic attack." That's the one thing about my sister - she's prone to having panic attacks.
"Connor I need to tell you something." She sighed, pulling back and looking at me. "Please don't get pissed."
"I won't." I said, knowing exactly what she was about to tell me.
"I may or may not have accumulated some sort of feelings for Brad."
