~The next day~

*Brad P.O.V*

I walked back up to my bedroom carrying a glass of water and Maddie's medication she had been prescribed. As I walked into the room, I saw she was still on FaceTime to Reece.

"It does hurt, but with the medication it helps it a bit. Although my head always does hurt. Last night I woke in the middle of the night and I felt completely disoriented, Brad nearly took me back to the hospital. He didn't, obviously." Maddie was saying.

"Sounds horrible. It must feel horrible for you as well." Reece said.

Maddie rolled her head around to look at me, wincing a bit as she moved. "It is painful but what can I do." She said to Reece. "Thank you babe." She said to me.

"It's alright. You ready to sit up?" I asked.

"Yep." She said, as I placed the things on the side. I helped her to sit up, the whole time she was flinching. I can't imagine the pain she must be in.

"Right, here you go." I said, handing her the tablets and the water. She took them quickly, and lied back down.

"That's so cute." Reece said. "At least you have a lovely, handsome guy to take care of you." Reece winked at Maddie, making her laugh lightly. It was nice to see her smiling - she'd spent lots of the last couple of days since the break in just crying, whether it was in pain or because of flashbacks to the day.

"Indeed. He's lovely." Maddie said, and I couldn't help but smile. I sat back beside her on the bed, she had her back to me and the phone was facing towards me.

"Alright, alright, serious question." Reece said.

"Go ahead." Maddie said.

"When is the wedding?" Reece asked.

Maddie gasped, and then laughed. "You're so lucky that I'm unwell and you're not here in person, or else I would hurt you."

"Would you though? Would you really hurt me, your darling, beloved best friend? You wouldn't have the balls, has she Brad?" Reece teased.

"Oh no, she hasn't got the balls at all. She wouldn't even hurt a fly." I agreed, smirking, and Maddie pouted.

"Okay, you got me." She said, "I couldn't do it. But I'd still do something to shut you up."

"Well, I mean I can see you two getting married." Reece said.

"Reece." Maddie laughed.

"No, I'm being serious!" He said. "You two are perfect together! I mean, just look at you. Even here, you look perfect together."

"But we're just sat here - well, I'm lied down but you get the idea." Maddie said.

"Yeah, but it still works. You two just work, you are just perfect for each other." Reece said. "Fine, if Maddie won't give me an answer, I'll ask Brad. Brad, when's the wedding?"

I laughed. "Sometime in the future." I said.

Maddie turned to look at me, smiling. The thought of marriage, in particular marrying Maddie, hadn't crossed my mind yet, but now thinking about it, I really can see myself marrying her. She means the absolute world to me, in more ways than I can begin to explain. I don't think there'll ever be a way for me to show just how much I love this girl. Secretly, I do hope we get married someday in the future. We'll just have to wait and see if she can put up with me for that long.

Maddie yawned and her eyes narrowed - she was clearly getting tired again. She had been tired quite a lot these past few days, sleeping lots. I don't mind, it helps her to be at ease for a bit with the pain. For all I know, it could be helping her with the healing process.

"Aww you two lovebirds." Reece said, smiling. "You know what, you seem really tired Maddie so I'm gonna go and leave you two to it. Both of you, let me know if you need anything and I can go get it and bring it to you, to save you having to go out and leave Maddie." Reece said to me.

"Thanks man, that means a lot." I said, smiling. "I'll keep you updated and let you know if we need anything."

"No problem. Hope you feel better soon Maddie." Reece smiled.

"Thank you Reece, bye." Maddie said, and he waved goodbye and then hung up.

Maddie turned her phone off and rolled over in bed to face me.

"If you're tired again, you should sleep." I said.

"I feel bad. Sleeping and lying in bed is all I'm doing. That's boring for you." Maddie said.

"Shh, it's not at all. It's nice to have an excuse to chill out every once in a while." I said.

It's true - the other three were off doing stuff for the band, but I had stayed home to look after Maddie. Joe was getting them to do things that could easily be done without me, however if I am needed for anything, Reece said to give him a call and he would come over and stay with Maddie whilst I went. Reece has been great, offering his help in anyway possible.

"But it's my fault that you aren't doing anything." Maddie said. She looked so upset, it literally broke me.

"Please don't be sad. I don't mind at all, you should know that. All I care about is taking care of you and getting you back to good health." I said. "And same goes for everyone else - the other boys, Reece, Joe. All we care about is you getting back to normal. If that means me taking several days off, however long it takes, so be it. I don't mind and neither does anyone else."

Maddie smiled, and I smiled back at her. She yawned once more.

"Right, it's decided, you're going to sleep." I said, and Maddie laughed. She lifted her head and moved over so she was resting her head on me. I put my arm around her and rubbed her back, allowing her to drift off to sleep.
