If I Was Your Man (BWS)

Fourty-Nine

*Maddie P.O.V*

The next 3 days I spent most of my days filming and editing for my YouTube channel. The lads had been mega busy interviews, photoshoots, radio talks, and today they had gone to do a signing in London, so I knew they would be out for most of the day.

I'd been up for hours editing my latest video, as I knew Brad wouldn't be on his phone at all during the signing so I wouldn't be able to be distracted by messaging him.

Tomorrow is the day that the Day Edition Extra Tracks drops, aka the day that If I Was Your Man and Personal (Brad x Maddie Version) drops. Instead of releasing mine and Brad's version of Personal as a single we decided to put it just on the extra tracks. We figured if people like it, they would blow it up but if it gets a negative reaction then at least it isn't a single. Although Brad and the others seem confident the fans will love it, so I'm hoping for the best.

Then, the day after tomorrow, me, Brad, Con and Reece are all going to film a video together - 'Boyfriend vs Brother vs Best Friend' video. I've got all the questions prepared. How it'll work is I'm going to ask them questions about myself, and then they've got to all answer and each correct answer gets a point. We'll add up the points at the end and see who wins.

And don't even get me started on who I think will win. I have no clue at all. They all have equal chances of winning, they all know me pretty well.

My phone started ringing, making me jump. Jeezus, Reece.

"Hey." I said, answering.

"Hey, what you up to?" Reece asked.

"Editing a video, nearly finished it now." I said, "What about you?"

"Not a lot. Do you need to finish your video now or could it wait?" Reece asked.

"It could wait... why?" I asked.

"Me and George are bored, we want to do something." Reece said.

"You can come round here." I offered. "Neither Con nor Brad are here, and Luce is at work til 10 tonight."

"Well, if you're offering... we'll leave in 5. See ya soon." Reece said.

"See you soon." I laughed, hanging up.

I decided to quickly finish editing this particular part of the video and get to a suitable stopping place where I won't forget. I figured I had about 15 minutes until they would get here.

And I was right. 15 minutes later and I heard a car pull up outside. I jumped up and looked out the window and Reece's car was on the drive.

I ran downstairs to unlock the door, and I pulled it open as Reece was about to knock.

"No need to knock, I'm already here." I said, swinging the door open wide and letting them.

"Hey." Reece and George said, giving me a hug each.

"Hey, how are you George?" I asked.

"I'm good thanks, you?" He asked.

"I'm good thanks! Where's Blake, is he not here?" I asked.

"No, he's out with Bailee again." Reece said. "Anyway, where's my 'how are you?'" He said, putting his hands on his hips.

"Oh shut it you, I've been speaking to you all day and I haven't spoken to George yet." I said. "How are Blake and Bailee doing? Everything going good with them?" I walked into the living room, leading Reece and George in there too.

"I think everything's going good between them." George said. "Blake seems really happy so."

"I'm glad." I said. "What about you Reece? What about you and your little mystery girl?" I winked at him, receiving a death stare in return.

The girl he had been with the other night on Brad's birthday, they had gone off together at the end of the night and I haven't pressed for details but all I know is it was just a night thing. He didn't even take her number. I wasn't convinced he even knew her name to be completely honest. So, being the classic best friend I am, I'm enjoying bullying him over it.

"Now it's my turn to tell you to shut it." Reece said, slumping down on the sofa and George laughed and sat down too.

I put my middle finger up at Reece and went and sat beside George. "Do either of you want anything? Drink, something to eat?"

"No, just a cure for our boredom which you've already given us." Reece said.

"You're very welcome." I replied.

Reece nodded, closing his eyes.

"We've just got here and you're already going to sleep?!" George said, and we both laughed, as Reece opened one eye to look at us.

"I'm not sleeping, just chilling." He said. "Although if we put on some horror movie or something..."

"Oh hell yes." I said, jumping up to grab the TV remote. "We will definitely needs drinks and snacks for this tho. Will one of you choose a film and one of you come get supplies with me?"

"I'll pick the film." Reece said, holding out his hand. I chucked the remote at him and George got up and walked with me to the kitchen.

"Okay, we have chocolates and popcorn. Ooh, what about biscuits... here, they're in this cupboard, take your pick. I'll get some drinks. Do you want coke?" I asked.

"Yeah, I'll have that." George smiled, looking through the cupboard deciding what to choose.

I grabbed three glasses and the bottle of coke out of the fridge, placing it on the side. I went over to look in the cupboard with George and we ended up picking out quite a few things to eat. Between the two of us, we grabbed everything and headed back to the living room. I placed the glasses and coke on the table, as George dropped all the food.

"Oh my god, pass me some chocolate." Reece said.

"Please." I said, throwing a packet at him.

"Please." He smiled. "And thank you."

"Welcome." I said, sitting down and pouring out all three of us drinks as Reece pressed play on the movie he picked.
