If I Was Your Man (BWS)

*Brad P.O.V*

Me, Maddie and the other three lads were at mine and Tris' place having some drinks and chilling. Our Extra Tracks were about to drop, and me and Maddie were both nervous.

Don't get us wrong, we're excited. Like, so excited. But we both are feeling very nervous about it. For one, If I Was Your Man was written about her which will be interesting to see the fans reactions. Furthermore, our version of Personal is on there- something we haven't told the fans about. Therefore, when the tracks drop, they'll find out for the first time that me and Maddie's version is on there.

That's scary in itself because it can go one of two ways. Either the fans will love it and it'll go down really well with everyone. Or, it'll go the complete opposite way and the fandom will hate it. However, everyone who has heard it already (management, production etc for the band) have all loved it and are certain that it'll go down well so... let's hope they're telling the truth.

Maddie is an amazing singer so that's not a problem- the problem will come in with the fact that she's my girlfriend so maybe some people won't like the fact that we're dating and released a song together, especially since Maggie usually sings it.

Although, I kinda like the sound of Personal (Brad x Maddie Version) by The Vamps feat. Maddie Ball. It works in my head.

"Boys boys boys, 1 minute." Connor said.

"I feel sick." Maddie laughed nervously.

I put my arm around her and hugged her. "It'll be fine. You'll be fine."

"Fuck off, you're just as nervous as she is." James said, making us all laugh.

"Okay, you've got me." I said.

"You two need to not worry. The track is amazing, and so is If I Was Your Man. I'm sure the fans will all love it." Tris said.

"Well, we're about to find out. 3, 2, 1." James said, and I looked at my phone as the time changed from 23:59 to 00:00.

"Maddie, how do you feel. You've released your first song." Connor said.

"It actually feels good." Maddie said. "It's so weird- now I know it's out, it's like a release. Wait, I have to check something."

She pulled out her phone, opened up Spotify and searched for The Vamps. There, she clicked onto the Extra Tracks and right there as Track 1 & 2 was both our songs.

A big smile broke out across her face and she screenshot it, opening up Instagram and going to her story. She circled the two songs, writing "what is this...🤔🤭" and posting it.

"Oh. My. God." She said. "It's out. It's actually out."

"Yo, the fandom is going fucking mental on Twitter and Instagram." Tris said. "And it's all good things. They're having a fandom breakdown over your song."

"Really?!" Maddie said, grabbing her phone and going into Twitter. "Omg my mentions- they really are liking it."

"Should I tweet something..." I said.

"Yes!" Maddie laughed.

"Let's do one together." I said. "I'll tweet, and you reply."

Maddie nodded and watched as I wrote my tweet out.

Girl don't take it personal...

The second I sent it, Maddie went on and replied: but personally, I think you'd be better with somebody like me

"I've never known anyone to tease the fandom as badly as you two do." Connor laughed, shaking his head.

"It's fun tho." I said, and Maddie agreed, laughing.

Maddie P.O.V*

~2pm~

Brad sat beside me, putting his phone on the table in front of us. We were about to do a live together on the band instagram to see people's opinions on our version of Personal, and so Brad could explain what If I Was Your Man was really about.

"Ready?" Brad asked.

"Yep." I said, and he gave me a quick kiss before starting the live.

Instantly, several thousand people joined, taking me by surprise. I'm not used to getting this many people join a live that I do, and I'm still getting used to being more in the limelight now.

"Hello hello hellooo." Brad said, smiling and leaning forwards so he was closer to the camera. I smiled, he's so cute. "How is everyone? We'll wait for a few more people and then me and Maddie wanna have a chat with you all. Wow, babe they're more interested in you than me right now."

I laughed and leaned forwards so I was clearly visible. "Heyyy." I said.

"We're both good thank you. We wanted to come live and talk to everyone about Track 1 & 2 on the album so go and tell your mates, spread the word, we want to talk about Track 1 & 2." Brad said.

"Someone asked why Track 2." I pointed out. Track 2 was If I Was Your Man. "I'll let Brad tell you that."

"There's a good story behind it - Braddie shippers are gonna want to hear." Brad said, and I smiled. Braddie. I don't think I'll ever get over hearing that.

Brad moved his hand so that it was resting on my leg, and I rest my head on his shoulder.

"Maddie repping Vamps merch. Hell yeah, that's my girl." Brad said, making me smile and blush yet again, which Brad noticed. "Aw look at that, someone's blushing. She gets a bit shy." He whispered, making me laugh.

I read the comments, and everyone was talking about how cute we were together. It's safe to say that the longer we're together, the less haters we have and the more people turn to shipping us. And I honestly love it.

"Okay, so... Track 1. A bit obvious, Maddie hopped on the track and covered Maggie's parts- wow that's a mouthful." Brad said. He looked at me to give me chance to speak.

"It was very fun to be able to record a song, I'm not going to lie. Although I'm sorry if I made anyone's ears bleed." I laughed.

The comments filled with people saying how good I sounded, how I made the track better and how much they all loved it. "You gave the whole fandom a breakdown." Brad read. "Yeah, we noticed. Sorry not sorry." He said. "Okay, so, Track 2. Track 2 was a song I wrote a couple of months ago, it was written about a certain someone I liked but was too scared to tell my feelings to. The title kinda reflects upon how I was feeling. I was like, if I was your man, just if I was."

I sat and listened as he explained the song to the fans, reading the comments and smiling. Everyone was massively freaking out because none of them realised the song was about me - until now.

"Maddie, want to tell the story from when you first heard it?" Brad asked.

"Of course. The first time I heard it was the night Brad asked me to be his girlfriend actually." I said, and I started to explain how he'd brung me to the studio and everything that followed afterwards.
