If I Was Your Man (BWS)

*Brad P.O.V*

"Okay, so I had this idea about 2 weeks ago but I didn't mention it to anyone due to circumstances. But in the past few days I wanted to make this idea a reality since everything has come to light." I explained.

"Wait wait wait, let me guess. You've written a song about Maddie?" Con asked.

"Maybe." I said, knowing what was to come.

"Aww look at Brad all loved up." Tris teased.

"This is when we know he's serious about a girl innit." Con said to James and Tris.

After a little bit of friendly teasing, they stopped and let me continue.

"I recorded a vocal demo of what I visualise the tune being and I was wondering if we could work on it to add in drums and guitar and everything behind it?" I asked, looking at them three.

"Of course, what's the song called?" James asked.

"It's called If I Was Your Man." I said, and I started playing the recording I'd made earlier.

I sat and watched them all as they listened to the song, watching their reactions. They all seemed pretty impressed, although I was watching Connor mainly. I felt so nervous, I mean I've literally written a song about his little sister, what if it's a step too far?

When it ended, I turned off my phone and slipped it into my pocket.

"I feel like you've just thrown your feelings right out onto the table with that song." Con said.

"That's kinda the idea." I joked.

"Please tell me you're going to play her that song and tell her it's about her." Con said.

"Funnily enough, when this song is finished I do plan to play it to her and tell her I wrote it about her, yes." I said.

"Right then everyone let's get started." Connor jumped to his feet, and we all laughed.

I love how supportive Connor is. I never expected this. I expected him to disapprove and not want me with Maddie. I thought he would hate me and we would fall out, god what if something had gone wrong with the band because of this? This could've gone down so badly for me.

"Do you have any melody's planned out?" James asked.

"I've got a guitar melody for the background which we can build upon." I said, going and grabbing the nearest guitar and putting the strap around my head.

We moved swiftly through the process throughout the day. By the end of the day, we had everything prepared.

"What time shall we meet back here in the morning so we can start on the recording process?" Con asked.

"I'll get here for 9." I said.

"Sorted then. Meet here at 9." James said.

"Can I just say, I really appreciate you guys for coming here and recording this although our studio time has ended." I said. "You all don't know how much this means to me."

"I know how much this means to you and will mean to her." Con said.

"And the song is amazing." James added, Tris nodding in agreement.

I smiled and looked down, picturing the moment I get to play the song to Maddie.

"Con?" I asked, and he looked at me, waiting. "I know when I'm going to ask Maddie."

"What, when?" Con asked, intrigued.

"Once the song is finished." I said. "I'm going to invite her to the studio, tell her I've written a song about her and play it to her. Then I was thinking of just asking her."

"Get on." Connor said, smiling. "I'm excited for you man."

"Thanks. Would she like it, do you think?" I asked. I want nothing more than for everything to be perfect for her. I want nothing more than to make her happy.

"100%, I know she's going to love it. She will most likely have a full on freak out to learn that you wrote a song about her." Connor said.

I smiled. I can't wait to play this to her.

*Maddie P.O.V*

"This is my favourite eyeshadow, its one from Revolution, its got so many different shades it's incredible. Obviously there are so many eyeshadow palettes out there to buy, you just got to find the one with the colours to suit you." I said, starting to apply it to my eyes. I was going for a pink in the corner, blending into purple and then finally blue at the other end. "Now we have another question, this question is always asked a lot. What is it like being on tour with The Vamps?"

I went through explaining about how I photograph them a lot along with Dean, how I film tour diaries with them which get posted onto their channel, and also how I film daily vlogs for my channel as well. I reflected upon some of the best memories I could recollect from last tour and how excited I am to get back on tour with them.

As I was about to move onto my eyeliner, I got an incoming FaceTime from Brad. An excited feeling filled my stomach. We've never FaceTimed before. I knew I was smiling a lot and was in front of the camera but I couldn't help it.

"Incoming FaceTime from Brad." I told the camera, answering. "Hey!" I said as I saw Brad's smiling face answer the call.

"Hey, wow your makeup looks amazing." Brad instantly said, and I smiled.

"I'm currently filming a video." I told him, turning my phone to my camera. "Say hi!"

"Oh hi." Brad chuckled. "Okay, I'll go and let you finish your video."

"I'll FaceTime you back once I've finished." I said.

"Okay, Bub-bye." He said, and hung up.

I wasn't far from finishing my video anyway, so I wouldn't have to wait long before I could talk to him. I kept smiling thinking about it. Who knew you could be this mad about someone without actually being with them?

I applied my eyeliner and finished off my makeup with thoughts of Brad crowding my mind. I wrapped up the video, smiling like a Cheshire Cat. The second I finished filming, I grabbed my phone and sat on the bed, clicking on Brad's number.
