"So, it's official!" James said, as all four of us stood in view for the camera to post a video on our Instagram story.
"We're going on tour!" I said, and the other three did a little mini celebration. "We hope to see as many of you as possible in October to December!"
"As you would've seen from the post, the tickets are on sale next Wednesday. Make sure you're there to grab yours." Connor said.
"Remember, bring along your family or friends, anyone you can get to accompany you. Could even be your nan. We're going to try to make this the best tour ever!" James said.
"We want to thank you all for the support on the album so far, we love you." Tris said.
"Thank you!" We all said, and James stopped the video.
"Perfectly rehearsed, well done boys." Maddie said from her perch on the sofa. I walked over to her, smiling, and leaned down to kiss her.
Things had become a lot more relaxed in terms of me and Maddie acting... well, like a couple, ever since we had told the fans about us. It was weirdly like we were making it properly official and it was like the decider. Ever since, we'd quickly got used to being ourselves around the others, including Connor. Plus, the jokes about us from Connor had begun to die down a bit, although they were never really a problem.
"Okay lads, so, interview tomorrow at Radio 1. Brad and Tris, I'll be at yours to get you at 10, then we'll get you Con, and then head there." James said, taking authority again. He really is the 'dad' of the band.
"Yep." I said, sitting down next to Maddie. As James and Connor disappeared out of the room, I snaked my hands around Maddie's waist and she jerked.
"Jeez, you tickled me." She said, and began laughing.
"Oh, we're ticklish now?" I asked, deliberately going back and tickling her side.
"Oh my god don't!" Maddie squealed, laughing. "I'm warning you."
"What are you going to do?" I said, looking her dead in the eyes and daring her to do something.
Maddie paused for a while, unable to think of a comeback. To antagonise her more, I tickled her side again.
"Babe, stop it!" Maddie giggled, taking my hands away.
"Make me." I said, and Maddie's eyes widened. I caught Tris' eyes and he pulled the same expression, hiding his eyes with his hand in a jokey way. I smirked and looked back to Maddie.
"Okay, I will." She pushed me off of her and back onto the sofa, making me gasp in surprise. I didn't expect her to actually do anything.
She quickly jumped on top of me and took hold of my wrists, holding them down against the sofa so I couldn't move my arms. "Now look who's in control."
"Woah guys, I don't fancy seeing my sister going at it." Connor said as he walked back in the room with James.
"Calm down you two." James said. "Tris, you're gonna let them do this on your sofa?"
Maddie rolled off of me and landed on the floor, laughing hysterically. "Calm down, I was just getting him to stop tickling me."
"More like you were daring him to rail you." Connor said.
"Connor!" Maddie said, jumping up from the floor. I quickly sat up and grabbed her by the waist, pulling her down to sit with me before she could do anything to Connor. "Besides, we wouldn't do that with you around. That's for when we're alone."
Connor choked on his drink and me, James and Tris all instantly had a shocked expression on our faces. James patted Connor's back as he tried to compose himself, and Maddie started laughing.
"I didn't need to know that!" Connor said.
"I'm just kidding." Maddie said, crying from laughter. "I'm so sorry." She said to me.
"Don't be," I laughed, and she leant into me quickly and placed a small kiss on my lips.
"Maddie, you've got confident." James laughed.
"Oh, 100%." Tris nodded.
"Although, it's a good thing. It's entertaining the lot of us." James said.
"And it's making me choke!" Connor said.
"Are you okay?" Maddie laughed, giving him a pouty face.
"Yeah I'm fine, despite the fact that you literally made me choke." Connor said.
"Alright love, we all know you choked." Maddie retorted.
"Jeez babe!" I laughed. She was proper confident tonight. Although I must admit, I love this side to her. I just love how all 5 of us can hang out together and it's not weird or awkward. Yes, it helps that she's spent the last few years living with Connor so she's been around us four daily and we were quite close with her already, but I worried that if we started dating, everything would get awkward. But it hasn't, and I love that.
"I don't think the drink has left her body from last night to be honest." Connor said, now fully composed and okay again. "I don't think I've ever seen her this confident before either."
"Trust me, this is the side to me you never see. Although if you ask Reece, he'll confirm that I do have a pretty decent, outgoing persona. But you're my brother so I'm meant to act boring around you." Maddie said.
"Well that's nice." Connor said. "Nice to know you have a secret identity."
"Shut up." Maddie said, kicking a cushion at him.
As the conversation gradually moved onto a different topic, Maddie got a text.
"It's Reece. He's double checking for our plans tomorrow." Maddie told me, as she replied.
"You didn't have to tell me." I said. I don't want her to think that she has to tell me who she's texting, especially when it's someone like Reece. He's her best friend after all. "I trust you, you know."
"I know, I just like the sound of my own voice." Maddie said, smirking at me. I laughed and rest my head on her shoulder, engaging back into the lads conversation.
