When I woke up, I was sitting upright and buckled into a seatbelt. I blinked a few times at the sudden brightness and looked out the window. The trees were streaking past me in a blur of greens and browns. "Cal's up." I turned my head towards the voice and saw Andy looking at me. "Rise and shine!" He smiled.
"What time is it?" I groaned and looked around. Carlson was next to me, passed out. Dylan and Clay were awake in the back.
"Ten, we got you breakfast." Andy gave me a little sack with granola bars in it. This was the breakfast of champions.
"Thanks." I smiled and accepted them. "Where are we?"
"Almost to the Texas border." Brett looked at me through the rearview mirror as I tore open one of the bars and started eating.
"Cool, we're playing in Houston, right?"
"Actually, we're playing in Woodlake Forest, it's outside of Houston."
My jaw dropped. Woodlake Forest was the town next to my hometown, the town Jake was still living in with Amanda, and the town that the Infinity Club was in. "They're playing in Woodlake Forest? You've gotta be kidding me!"
"No, I'm not. What's so special about that town? It's so small."
"I grew up in the next town over, y'all can see my old high school and everything!"
"You're way too excited about this." Dylan laughed from behind me.
"I may be too excited, but I don't care. That town was my everything. I have to go back to see Danika and Brent and Grif and Jackson!" I started naming off people as they popped in my head.
"Who? Slow down, I can't understand you."
"No! Guys, this is so exciting! I have so many places I wanna take y'all!" I smiled, talking a little too loud because Carlson woke up.
"What's all the noise?" She sat up and looked around. Where are we?"
"About to cross into Texas." I smiled.
"Oh, cool!" She nodded and took a granola bar out of the bag.
"You'll never guess where the guys are playing tonight." I blurted. I saw Brett roll his eyes through the rearview mirror. "Brett, I saw that."
"Where are they playing?" Carlson asked before Brett could say anything.
"Woodlake Forest! It's literally right next to my hometown!"
"I thought you grew up in a small town with no major cities close."
"I did. Woodlake Forest has this huge pavilion that would attract some big name people. So I'm guessing that's where they'll be playing."
"Oh, cool! So we can see where you grew up?"
"Yeah, I'm going to show y'all the coolest places ever."
"I highly doubt they're the coolest places ever, Cal." Clay said skeptically from the back.
"Wait until y'all see the Infinity Club." I smirked. "And don't y'all dare go and ask the guys about it. I want it to be a surprise."
"What's the Infinity Club?" Dylan asked.
"You'll see soon enough."
When we finally got to the Woodlake Pavilion, I called Jake. "Jake! Hey get down to the Pavilion right now."
"Whoa, what's going on?"
"The guys are playing here tonight! I need you to bring another car, I'm gonna show everyone around!"
