Ashton woke me up the next morning to tell me that I needed to get ready to go get some breakfast. Groaning, I pushed myself up and agreed. He left my room so I could get dressed.
About an hour later, I was showered and ready to get something to eat. But, I guess I didn't get ready fast enough for Cubbie because he was banging on my door literally right as I was walking towards it to open it. "COME ON, CAL! WE'RE LEAVING!"
"Gosh, Cubbie, shut up. I'm right here." I quietly answered as I opened the door, interrupting his furious knocking.
He turned red and stepped away from door to let me out. "Oh, sorry..."
"It's okay, come let's go!" I linked my arm with his and started pulling him down the hallway and to the elevators. We could all thankfully fit in one this morning since we didn't have our suitcases.
When we got down to the parking lot, we saw the bus and the car in the back so we knew the guys were still here and not driving drunk, which is definitely a good thing. We got in the car and drove until we found a little diner on the other side of town. After we sat down and the waitress took our orders, Ashton broke the silence. "I have to go later today." He looked over at me seriously.
"I know..." I sighed sadly.
"I guess I'll see you back in LA?"
"Yeah, definitely." I nodded.
"When you get there, I'm taking you on a real date." He smiled.
"That sounds like a lot of fun." I smiled as Ashton kissed my forehead. Andy snorted. "Hey, I bet you and Roxi used to do this." I retorted and looked at him.
"Okay, you got me." Andy rolled his eyes as the others laughed at us.
"Come on, guys, let's not act like this." Rebecca raised her eyebrows.
"Yes, ma'am." I laughed.
Our food came and we ate like civilized adults, until Ashton made a stupid move. He had ordered pancakes, and he purposefully flicked syrup into my face. "Hey!"
"Oops, I'm so not sorry." He laughed as I wiped the sticky syrup from my face.
"You're going to pay for that." I raised my eyebrows and wiped the fork I was using for my biscuits and gravy down his cheek. "Awe, that's a good look for you."
Ashton closed his eyes and tried so hard not to laugh, but failed miserably. "Okay, I deserved that one."
"Yes, yes you did." I laughed and ran my finger through the gravy on his face and wiped it down his other cheek. "There! Now you match!"
Ashton snorted and started laughing again, which made me laugh my ugly laugh that always makes everyone else laugh at me, so, naturally, everyone else laughed. Yeah it was one of those laughing chain reactions and none of us could stop. It wasn't even a funny situation, but we couldn't stop for some reason. Every time we would stop someone would start laughing again and we would go into it all over again.
"Okay, guys, deep breaths." Cubbie finally stopped laughing and we all collectively took a couple deep breaths.
"We good?" Ashton finally asked.
"Yeah, I think so." Roxi looked around the table at us.
"Good." Rebecca giggled.
"Well, what are we going to do today?"
"My flight leaves at three." Ashton looked at me.
"Damn it." I cursed quietly under my breath. I looked up and saw Cubbie shoot me a warning look. "What?"
