midnight kiss

the biggest frat house on my campus is throwing their annual new year's eve party and with it being my senior year, and never going to one before, i've decided i should go. my best friends jungkook and taehyung agreed to come with me so now we're all standing awkwardly in the crowded living room of the giant frat mansion. there are hundreds of bodies all around us, grinding on each other and sweating, and we seem to be the only three not doing anything. it's kind of embarrassing but i am not drunk enough to be acting like everyone else is.

"shit, kook, look who just walked in," taehyung says suddenly. jungkook and i both turn to look at the door and my eyes widen when jungkook's, and secretly my, crush chaeyoung and her friends walk in. she's dressed in a short pleated black skirt and a long-sleeved black crop top, and she looks unbelievably sexy. especially with her long blonde hair in a ponytail that's draping down over one shoulder. we make eye contact for a second and she sends me a dangerous smirk and a wink before turning to giggle at something her friend lisa said.

"did you see that? she winked at me," jungkook says. "she's definitely interested."

taehyung scoffs. "as if, she was probably looking at someone behind you. she's not even paying you any attention now."

as if on cue, chaeyoung turns back around and begins to head in our direction. jungkook immediately begins to freak out but i remain calm, not wanting her to see how much she affects me. the crowd parts as she heads over, almost as if she has some magnetic force that pushes them away. it just proves how powerful she actually is.

when she reaches us, she smiles politely at the boys before smirking at me again.

"hi (y/n)," she says.

i grin. "hi rosie."

rosie is the nickname she only lets people very close to her use. it's based on her english name roseanne that she doesn't use living in korea. i only earned the honour a few months ago and i've been milking it ever since.

"got any plans for midnight?" she asks. i can feel the boys' eyes on me, wide with surprise, but all i care about is hers.

"not yet."

"well, if you don't find anyone then save me a spot."

she moves in closer and i giggle when her hand comes to cup my cheek and draw me in for a kiss. i grip her hips and immediately pull her in so our bodies are pressed together as we tilt our heads to deepen the kiss.

after only a few seconds she breaks it and pulls her bottom lip between her teeth as she gives me a once over.

"definitely save me a spot later," she whispers. i nod, giving her ass a gentle smack as she walks away.

when she's out of view, jungkook spins me around by my shoulders and gives me an incredulous look.

"what the fuck was that?" he says.

"what, it was just a kiss," i say.

"yes, but a kiss with the girl i've had a crush on for over a year!"

"so what? i have a crush on her, too."

"wait, really?" taehyung asks. "i thought you and jongin were hooking up."

"oh, we were for a few months but then about a month ago chaeyoung and i...well, we started hooking up."

"are you dating?"

"no, it's casual, we just meet up twice a week."

jungkook is still looking at me like he doesn't know who i am anymore and it's starting to annoy me.

"look, i'm sorry kook, i know you have a crush on her but it just happened. it's not personal but i mean, i like her and i'm not going to pass up the opportunity to have sex with her. you'd do the same if you were in my position."

he still looks a little upset but eventually sighs and nods in agreement.

"just...keep it on the down-low for a bit maybe? i'll need to move on, i guess," he says.

"that's fine. i'll probably kiss her at midnight though so i guess just don't watch."

he nods again before mumbling that he's going to get a drink. he leaves and taehyung immediately wraps an arm around my shoulders with a chuckle.

"you've broken him," he says.

"he's not the only one allowed to have a crush on her," i say.

"oh, i know. that was hot, by the way. even if jungkook won't be watching at midnight, i sure will be."

i elbow him in the stomach and he groans as he crumples down on his knees. i have no ounce of remorse though as i follow jungkook into the kitchen to get my own drink.

the rest of the night goes by pretty fast as the boys and i mingle with some of our course friends and before i know it it's 10 minutes until midnight. i haven't seen chaeyoung since she first arrived but i've heard her name come from a few of the other guys at the party. i figure it's time for me to find her though so i head off around the house to see where she is.

i come across her talking to jungkook and taehyung in the kitchen so i make my way over and sidle up beside her.

"having fun?" i ask.

"loads more now that you're here," she replies.

"well, it's almost midnight."

she smirks. "oh, is it? well then we should get ready i guess."

she takes one of my hands in hers and pulls me into the living room where couples are gathering ready to kiss. i feel kind of awkward as chaeyoung and i aren't together but then she slides one of her hands into my back pocket and my thoughts become less than appropriate.

"one minute," she whispers.

"that's one minute too long."

she giggles and the sight of her scrunched up face makes my heart flutter. sometimes i forget how cute and sweet she can be as she's such a little vixen most of the time.

the countdown begins and just as the clock hits midnight, chaeyoung cups my cheeks and brings me into a passion-filled kiss. her tongue brushes against mine as it enters my mouth and has me feeling breathless within seconds. i have to physically hold myself from ripping her clothes off in front of everyone.

she pulls away after a few minutes and the look in her eye tells me she's thinking the same things as me.

"you're coming home with me tonight," she says.

"oh, you bet your ass i am," i reply.

"in fact, you're coming with me right now. let's go."

we quickly say goodbye to our friends then chaeyoung grabs my hand and we run off to her dorm room for a night of fun.

i don't really like the ending but i wanted to post anyway :)
