rosie notices that (y/n) has been very stressed for a while, so much so that she is pushing away any affection from her most nights because she's so exhausted. rosie understands, though; (y/n)'s art studio has recently had an influx of new students wanting to join so she's been working long hours. because of this, she doesn't get much time to relax and when she gets back to hers and rosie's apartment after the long days, she's too exhausted for any intimacy. as much as she hates to admit it, it frustrates rosie just a little. it isn't (y/n)'s fault, obviously, but rosie is heading to los angeles soon and she doesn't have long before she won't see (y/n) for a week.

which is why one morning she calls into (y/n)'s work and tells the co-owner that her fiancée is taking the day off.

"is she okay?" wendy asks, immediately worried.

"she's fine, i just think she could use the day to rest," rosie assures her.

"okay, that's fine. she only has one class today and yeri can take it. tell her to rest well and i'll see her tomorrow."

rosie thanks her then heads back to hers and (y/n)'s bedroom to tell her the good news. she's still getting ready for the day when rosie walks in so she sneaks up behind her and wraps her in a hug.

"i have to go, rosie," (y/n) says, turning her head to give her fiancée a small smile.

"not today," rosie says. "wendy's given you the day off."

"i can't take a day off."

"yes you can. you've been working non-stop for two weeks straight, you need the rest."

"what will i do?"

"i've got the day off too so we'll spend it together."

that seems to break (y/n)'s resolve just a little as she turns around to wrap her arms around rosie's shoulders.

"oh, yeah? and what will we do?" she asks.

"whatever you want."

rosie leans in and presses her lips to (y/n)'s in an open-mouthed kiss. (y/n) immediately reciprocates, letting her tongue tease rosie's bottom lip before entering her mouth to tangle with hers. rosie moans as she bends down just a little to hook her arms under (y/n)'s ass and pick her up. (y/n)'s legs automatically wrap around her waist and rosie easily carries her over to their bed, falling onto her back so (y/n) straddles her.

"if i can have anything i want," (y/n) stops to kiss rosie again, who hums in anticipation, "then i want to have a shower before we do anything else."

rosie pulls away with a chuckle. "okay, babe. go shower and when you come out, i'll have a surprise for you."

"mm, a surprise?" (y/n) asks, giving rosie another kiss.

"yes. all you have to do is relax and i'll take care of you."

"i'd like that."

"good. now go."

after one last kiss, (y/n) walks into their bathroom to get into the shower and rosie decides to set a relaxing scene in the bedroom. she lights some lavender scented candles and strategically places them around the room before turning the main lights off to make more romantic lighting. she changes from her pyjamas into light grey sweatpants and a hoodie of the same colour then reaches into her bedside table to pull out some massage oil. (y/n) loves it when rosie rubs her shoulders, it always relaxes her, so rosie figures she will indulge her fiancée in a full body massage. and if it leads to something else, then so be it.
