one bed

this is long, get ready! if there are any mistakes don't blame me i'm tired and i was writing this for another fandom so i had to change the names :D

ever since we were first introduced by our mutual friend joy, i've been pretty much in love with park chaeyoung. we only met very quickly at a party but i was immediately taken with her. she's decently tall, gorgeous, curvy in all the right places, and, most importantly, incredibly sweet and friendly. she had the prettiest smile on her face the entire time we were being introduced and she even made an effort to talk to me a couple of times through the night. i had a little more trouble being able to talk to her because I was so intimidated by how pretty she was but she didn't seem to be deterred too much by me. unfortunately i haven't been able to see her again since that day but she has stayed on my mind ever since.

and now, here i am, sitting in the back of her car as we head to the cottage joy booked for a group of us for the weekend. there are 10 of us going: joy, her four best friends irene, yeri, seulgi and wendy, chaeyoung's three close friends jennie, lisa and jisoo, and me. chaeyoung's car is a decent size so we were able to fit all of our luggage in the back and still have 5 of us able to travel in it. those 5 ended up being me, chaeyoung, jennie, lisa and jisoo, leaving the others to go in joy's car with her. i glared at her the whole time she was giving out seating arrangements for leaving me with chaeyoung but she just winked at me in response.

"Get your woman," she whispered once everyone dispersed. i smacked her arm but knew there was no reason fighting her so i just got in the car anyway. lisa immediately called shotgun so i was put in the back on the left with jennie in the middle and jisoo on the right. she quickly put her headphones in and closed her eyes to block everyone out but, thankfully, jennie seemed happy to talk to me. at least i wouldn't be bored during the two hour journey.

once we get to the cottage and all of the luggage has been collected, we head up to the cottage to meet the people we're renting it from. i admire the outside while the owners are going over everything with joy then feel a presence appear behind me.

"it's beautiful, isn't it?" chaeyoung's soft voice says in my ear. i jump a little in surprise but turn my head to the side and give her what i hope is a relaxed smile.

"it is," i agree. "joy showed me pictures when she first booked it but it's a lot nicer in person."

chaeyoung smiles at me but before she can say anything else, the rest of the group begins walking inside the cottage. i follow jennie in and can feel chaeyoung following close behind me. i can smell her perfume and it's an intoxicating scent. a woman that smells good is automatically more attractive in my opinion and at this point chaeyoung's completely broken my scale of attractiveness. it's almost too much.

"alright guys," joy says once we're all inside. "there are 5 bedrooms so we're going to have to double up. wendy and i already decided we'd room together so the rest of you just figure it out."

she and wendy rush off, likely to find the biggest room, and the rest of us are left to sort rooms out. i look for jennie to see if she'd want to bunk with me but she's already got her arms tight around jisoo. that's when i notice that lisa and yeri have paired up and so have irene and seulgi. it hits me like a ton of bricks that i'm going to be sharing a room with chaeyoung and i can't bring myself to look at her. it isn't until the other pairs leave the living room that i'm forced to accept my fate and acknowledge chaeyoung's existence again.

"i guess that leaves us," i say. i try to laugh as i say it to make it sound more friendly but i don't think it's very convincing.

"are you okay with that? i can always bunk with jennie and jisoo."

"no, no, it's okay! there'll be two beds so it'll be fine."

yeah, probably shouldn't have jinxed it like that. upon entering the room, the two of us freeze when we see that there is only one bed. one, relatively small bed, that does not look like it'll fit both of us together. i turn to look at chaeyoung just as she does the same and all we do is stare at each other for a couple of seconds. when i pull my eyes away and look back at the bed, my brain finally seems to catch up with them.
