It was like the bar all over again, at least with the level of noise.

The ship was on the move and at the same time, the dining room was piled full of food and warm bodies. Men shoved themselves together, packed tight like a can of sardines at long tables with equally long benches. They talked loudly over sake and huge, roasted fish, layed out on beds of vegetables. A few would eye you from time to time, possibly assessing their chances of getting cozy with you. But you were playing things smart tonight. As a new woman on a ship full of male pirates, you refused to drink a drop of alcohol and planned on making sure they understood that you weren't fair game.

At least most of them who saw your fight with Killer were able to put two and two together and understand that if it came down to it, you could wreck them.

But you were lucky enough to get to sit at the Captain's table. It consisted of Kid, Killer, Hayate, and two more men you'd just been introduced to; Heat and Wire. They were all the toughest and therefore, highest ranking members of the crew. You couldn't tell if you sat with them because you fit the bill or so Kid could keep asking you questions.

"So I was right when I said it could be a werewolf before." Wire chuckled. He and Heat were the pirates that sat by you in the bar and had actually recognized you immediately when you began your tussle with Killer, or so they said. "And I was only joking when I suggested it."

"Well you hit the nail on the head." You eyed the large hunk of red meat at your table. The rest of the men didn't have anything like it at their tables which meant this had to be specially for the top crew members.

"I wanna know some shit." Kid cut Wire off before pointing a knife at you, licking his lips clean from a bite of his dinner. "You said your hand would heal slower than normal since it's a silver wound. How fast would others heal?"

You had managed to help yourself to a portion of the meat sizable to the one on Kid's plate and were already digging in when you responded simply by showing him where a cut from Killer was on your arm. It had completely healed over, too shallow to leave so much as a small, silvery scar.

"Fast." You gulped down your bite to talk. "Every cut I got from that fight is already healed."

The burn on your hand was wrapped up and still painful though. It was bad enough that you were forced to use your nondominant hand to eat but you had to prove that you had something linking you to the werewolf fable.

"And it's some kind of allergy to silver?"

"To the best of my understanding. Nothing else would make sense."

"I still don't get it though." Killer shook his head and poked a carrot through a hole in his mask. You could hear him crunching away at it. "Curses aren't a thing, at least they shouldn't be. How does one become cursed?"

"Like I said, one day I was normal, the next....not so much." You shuddered at the memory of that day. "It wasn't a pleasant discovery and I have no other idea of what it could've been. Nothing happened that could've raised any alarms for me so to speak."

Killer looked like he wanted to delve further into the mystery but Kid was adamant about the here and now.

"What else can you do?" He asked.

"As I am? Nothing, I just heal faster. All my strength and wolfy stuff doesn't make an appearance until the full moon."

"So we have to wait a month to see that."

You frowned after shoveling more food into your mouth. Not only was the day after a shift tiring, it also made you hungry strangely enough.

"Captain, the reason I brought it up was because I am dangerous in that time period. I want to make sure that when I change, you guys will have enough control to keep me from hurting someone."
