I was in the gardens; watering my small patch of strawberries when Thomas and the girl found me; surprisingly the plant was growing considerably fast due to the fact that they were only planted a few days ago, but the fruit hadn't begun to appear yet. I thought it would have for sure of died by now but pushing that aside I asked Newt how long it would take for the strawberries to start actually growing and he said that it may take a few weeks. Anyway, back to the point. It was getting dark when they managed to convince me to go with them and meet up with the medjacks, Newt and go see Alby. That was the last thing I wanted to do, last time I saw him...

The two didn't exactly say why they needed me, but I couldn't stop staring that the girl; I've seen her before, in a dream, I only remember bits and pieces and the memory itself seems blurry. I can't remember names. I do remember seeing her before, though she looked much younger. Once I got pulled into the med shack, I made my way into the corner of the room as far away from Alby as I could, though I could still very clearly see him. Black veins stuck out of his face, neck and chest, deep blue and purple smaller veins were shown very clearly through the dark skin of his arms. The light from the lanterns provided the only light in the room, it highlighted the sweat that covered the boy with an almost golden glow.

I could see the discomfort he was in and it made my stomach churn, I hated seeing him like this. I wouldn't wish this upon anyone, but for now Thomas and that girl - I still don't know her name - think they have a solution. Thomas had leant forward and placed two metal syringes filled with a blue liquid into Newts hand, that took my attention off the stung boy and over to the blonde. "We don't even know what this stuff is," Newt tried explaining to the duo, "We don't know who sent it, or why it came up here with you." Newt gestured toward the black-haired girl as he spoke, "I mean for all we know; this thing may kill him."

They - Thomas and the girl - wanted to use the syringe on Alby, they thought that it may make him better. I highly doubt that those things came up here with the girl to be used as a weapon, but then again, there are grievers out there, things designed to kill us. "He's already dying," Thomas started as he gestured to Alby, his face held a look of worry, he didn't know what this thing would do to him, "Look at him..." With that the six of us that were standing looked at the boy on the bed, his breaths uneven and so forced it was unnatural. "How could this possibly make it any worse?"

A loud groan escaped Alby's lips as I pushed myself up from leaning on the wall, "It's worth a try..." I say with taking both of the syringes from Newts hands and passed them to Thomas, there was a moment of silence before Newt had spoken up. It took him awhile to make the decision because what if the liquid does kill Alby, then we wouldn't have our leader anymore, more especially, another one of our friends would be gone.

"Do it..." Newt said softly, causing Thomas to pass the spare syringe to the girl and walk toward and closer to Alby.

The boy hovered above Alby, his breath had quickened, he had the tube placed on Alby's chest, preparing to put the needle into the boy's skin. "Okay..." That plan had changed when Alby's head tilted upward, and he made eye contact with Thomas and grabbed the front part of Thomas' shirt. He began to say something while making eye contact with both Thomas and I, though to me it sounded like indistinct mumbling, Newt and I rushed forward to pry Thomas away from Alby strong grip, but it was useless until Clint and Jeff held Alby down, so he wasn't moving as much.

We had just pried him away far enough to leave a clear space on Alby chest when Newt called out to the girl, "Get the syringe!" He repeated himself again as the girl shoved the needle into the boy's chest. Albys grip released and we were able to get Thomas away from the boy, I looked down him to see that he was still, his breath had evened out, so that means he isn't dead.
