JIA

"Jia, what happened to you?" Heeseung asked once Jia stepped foot into the room.

Fate really hated her. Yesterday, she had an awful fever and the cleaning lady doesn't visit on Sunday's so she had to take care of herself. Monday had arrived and she wasn't feeling any better, the cleaning lady came and made her soup before driving all the way to school.

Now she went to school wrapped in her hoodie with a runny nose, a mask covering her mouth, and a skin that could burn. She had already taken her medicine but she wasn't feeling better. She also doubted her parents knew about her situation.

"I'm sick obviously." Jia said with her hoarse voice.

Heeseung looked at her worried. "No you look really sick, I think you should go home. Why did you even come to school in the first place?"

"I'm sick but I can handle school besides I already took my medicine. It should start kicking in any minute now." Jia says.

The teacher arrived and Heeseung was forced to return to his spot. She understood he was worried but she really didn't want to miss school, it would ruin her record and besides with Sunghoon cutting their tutoring sessions short she'll be home in no time.

"Jia how about you answer this?" The teacher said and Jia stood up, walking slowly to the board and grabbing the marker from the teacher's hand. "Are you okay, Jia? You look sick."

"Uh yeah, I already took my medicine." Jia answered and answered the equation in the board.

She had never struggle in a math equation before but right now all she could feel was the throbbing pain of her head, slowing down her thinking making it hard for her to answer the question in front of her. The world around her was beginning to spin and the next thing she knew, she was lying on the floor and her sight was beginning to dim.

Jia woke up with a cold cloth on her forehead and a familiar voice from the other side of the curtain that was blocking her field of view. Her head was still in pain but it was much bearable now that she was in a bed.

She could tell she's in the infirmary right now and the voice from the other side of the curtain was Ahra talking- or rather arguing with someone.

"Her parents aren't answering their phones, I could take her home." Ahra said.

"But you have an important presentation later right? You can't miss that Ahra. We can look for someone to bring her home." The mature voice argued.

"But-"

"Don't argue any further Ahra. You know yourself how important that presentation is." The teacher said. "Do you have any contact with any of her guardian?"

"No I don't. Maybe I can ask anyone to bring her home that isn't busy?" Ahra offered.

"That would be helpful." The other voice says and the next thing Jia heard was the closing of the door. The curtain was pushed to the side revealing an Ahra with worry plastered all over her face.

She slapped Jia softly in the arm. "What happened to you? Why did you even go to school? You know it wouldn't hurt your record to miss one day of school."

"Jeez stop scolding me. What happened?" She asked, removing the cold cloth in her forehead.

"You fainted during class. A classmate of yours carried you here. I was called to contact any of your guardians but your parents aren't answering their phones." Ahra explained.
