"It was a good performance, Sunghoon." His mother said, smiling at him softly. Though there were many minor mistakes, he still won second place for his age.

But Sunghoon's frown remained as he was dissatisfied with his overall performance. He changed out of his costume and into casual clothes, leaving the room to grab a drink from the vending machine.

He kept looking down at his feet and though he was wearing a mask, he tried not to get recognized by the people around him. Sunghoon wasn't satisfied by his performance and the second place awarded to him.

Due to his inability to look at where he was going, he bumped into someone resulting to her fall.

"I-I'm sorry!" Sunghoon panicked while staring at the girl.

She winced in pain but shook her head. "No no! It's fine!"

Sunghoon extended a hand to the girl. "Here let me help you up."

She didn't hesitate any further to grab his hand. She smiled at him. "Thank you. You should raise your head higher if you don't want to bump with any more people."

"Oh yes. Sorry for bumping into you." He said, bowing down.

"It's fine! Don't worry about it." She assured him. "Where are you heading to anyway? If you don't mind me asking!"

"I was going to the vending machine." He answered truthfully.

The girl gleamed. "I was also on my way to the vending machine. Come on, let's go together."

And they walked together. While watching her walk next to him, he found this as a perfect chance to take a better good look of the girl.

She was extremely pretty with her long black hair and fair white skin. He recalled the moment when she smiled at him, Sunghoon admitted she was far prettier when smiling.

When they arrived at the vending machine, the girl went first inserting the money she brought.

"What's your name?" She asked.

"I'd rather not say" He said as he didn't want to be recognized at the moment and if the girl watched the performance she would surely talk about his mistakes.

She smiles and nods, fully understanding if he chose not to show his face. "Then I won't say mine as well. Did you also watch the competition earlier?"

"U-Um yeah." He said, inserting his money into the vending machine. "Did you like all of it?"

"Yeah. All the performances were good! Especially the one who got second place, I really loved his performance." She says.

His eyes widened. "Really? You think his performance was good?"

She nods as a reply to his question. "How about you? Did you like all the performance?"

He hesitantly nods. He liked every performance earlier except for his but he couldn't say that to the girl.

"Why are you talking to a stranger like me anyway?" He asked, looking down on his fingers.

She stared at him with her, showing no remorse or any kind of expression. "You seemed sad when you bumped into me, I figured you needed a friend."

"What if I was some kid who's planning to kidnap you? You don't even know how I look like, what makes you think I'm good?" Sunghoon said all in one breath making her laugh.

"That's some overthinking right there but no, I don't think you're a bad guy." She said, opening her juice and drinking from it. "And even if you were, how come I'm still alive and drinking my juice?"
