Buckle up folks, it’s a long one. The notes take a whole doc page, and the story takes about 4 pages.

Notes because I refuse to do it based on books I've read because accurate and reliable research is important, ladies captains and gentlemen.

Littles are any Alter that is under the age of 13, but the age can vary depending on the brain development (idk how to make that make sense so like comment if you have a way to make that make sense thank you).

Littles are formed early on in life and so it makes sense that some of them would hold the most trauma (since DID is formed before 10 I think? Feel free to fact check but I know that it is formed really early on).

Littles can come out to do things they want. Like okay so some Alters are protectors and come out when the Host or another Alter cannot be fronting due to whatever is happening at the moment. You get what I mean. Littles, however, will notice that the body is walking past a toy store and front because they want a specific toy or they want to look around. My point being, littles front mostly because they want to, like a toy shop discovery or if they want to play with someone. I hope I wrote that well enough to make sense.

You can be co-conscious (or co-con) when Littles front.

Littles vary for all systems (just like all Alters vary), but majority of the time Littles are very traumatized. (I don't think I am going to include a traumatized or at least a very traumatized) little in this one shot but if you would like to see that then just comment and I will try lol). Traumatized or not, Littles are still Littles. You need to be patient, be understanding, give approval, and encourage the Little.

Most of the time Littles won’t understand that years have gone by, so when they front, they most likely would react as they would at the age they were formed (is formed a good word for that? idk). They can range really any age, mainly under 13.

When a Little fronts, depending on the circumstance, it could end up very embarrassing, disconcerting, etc., even dangerous. Family members are usually taught how to help when a Little fronts so they can be taken care of.

LITTLES ARE LITTLE! APPARENTLY MESSED UP PEOPLE TAKE ADVANTAGE OF LITTLES AND THAT IS NOT OKAY!

Littles (being Little) sometimes see things we normally do without a second thought as a major task that they would have no hope of even attempting. 

Littles typically have answers as to why you are part of a system in the first place. Again, not going to touch on this this time, but just putting the info out there.

What Do The Littles Say

Even why Littles aren’t fronting, take care of them. Buy them treats and toys, and if they try to front at a time that they really shouldn’t, promise they can later and make sure they are in a safe environment when they do. Let the Littles act their age. Don’t try to make them grow up. Don’t. It's also helpful to play with them since they most likely don’t get enough interaction like that.

How to Care for System Little

Tadaaaaaaaaaaa researrrrrrrrrrrch! I did the research so as to not offend anyone in any way and to make the story as accurate as I possibly can, as well as trying to educate myself in the process. PLEASE inform me if you know something is wrong so I can fix it!

I will also take this moment to inform you (even though you never asked) that I am watching The Grand Tour, specifically the RV holiday episode because that is one of my favorite episodes. *nods*
