I Don't Know

That evening Jade set her first card down to begin the game.

"Man I see poor people playing this shit all the time on TV . . . well not on TV but it's referenced a lot. Never thought I'd end up playing the game myself. Uno. Ha ha." Princeton played once it was his turn. They were all sitting in a circle on the floor of Jade's room. They sat on bean bag chairs.

"Oh please it's not a poor man's game in the slightest. Everyone has been involved in a game of Uno at some point in their lives." Jade said as she inspected her cards.

"Not me. But if I owned a deck it would be coloured in gold." Jin fabulously played when it was his turn.

"Golden deck of Uno cards? That sounds pretty damn neat." Namjoon played his turn confidently.

"Some people are just extra." Jade thought about her next move before setting her card on the deck they were stacking.

"So Jade . . . you've been a bit more on the chill side." Princeton started.

"Ah yes, while around the Nelson you seemed more or less on the calm side. That's incredibly rare for you. Has the therapy been working miracles?" Jin smirked at her as Namjoon and Princeton laughed.

Jade would smack each of them but she was trying not to act too violently. For now that is. "Oh it's been doing things."

The guys didn't expect her to sound so sinisterly pleased.

"Great things." Jade grinned like a sly fox.

Namjoon blinked. "Cool."

"Wait uhhh . . . may I ask what exactly the reason is for that look you're giving us?" Jin was frowning.

"Are you plotting something? Did the therapy give you the okay to plot and scheme in order to get what you want? 'Cause if it did then I want in. I'm tired of being told that that shit ain't okay. It's who I am bruh." Prince just had to shake his head.

"Shh." Jade didn't want to hear him. "The therapy didn't say anything actually. It's mainly listening and images. Today I asked 'Du-bess'-"

"What? Da best?" Princeton scratched his head.

"Du-bess!" Jade enunciated. "Yes it's a strange name but it's what he goes by. Anyway I asked him what the science behind it was and he said to not be too concerned as long as it helps so I have arrived at the conclusion that it's simply subtle brainwash."

"Ooo lovely. There's a brainwashing branch at this school. That spices things up." Jin danced with his shoulders on the word 'spices'.

"Brainwash?" Namjoon seemed to be trying to process something. He then snapped his fingers and pointed at Jade with a frown. "That's bad!"

"Took him a while but we should commend him anyway." Princeton clapped sarcastically.

Namjoon felt proud. "I am a changed man."

"Good God." Jade rolled her eyes.

"Oh so the sly expression was because you'd like to use the whole brainwashing branch as a means of blackmailing the institution." Jin looked very intrigued for some reason. "How will we split the money? Fifty fifty or ninety-five five." Jin laughed after saying that. "I'm only joking."

"No one is laughing with you." Princeton was cringing.

Jade had not thought of that. "Huh . . . wait it wouldn't make sense to blackmail the school because I'm sure that they'd have a reasonable explanation for why they brainwash- okay well that's the term I use but it most likely isn't that obviously. There are terms for such things in psychology boys."
