Christina and Jesy just finished hugging in greeting.

"You look absolutely lovely Mummy. Love the coat." Jesy said slickly.

"Thank you Jes. I always appreciate your compliments." Christina said fondly. She breathed out as if stressed and tapped at her forehead with her fingers. "Okay um . . . our flight is at seven this evening and the funeral-the funeral . . . we have . . . scheduled it for this Friday at afternoon in England. But as you know, this is a grieving period so I've already started organizing with your school to have you out for the week. Have you started packing?" She sounded a bit overwhelmed.

Jesy held her mother's shoulders and rubbed them. "Easy, easy."

Christina was happy for her comforting. "Thanks Jes. I'm sorry. I don't appear put together at all in this moment do I?" She smiled.

Jesy could see the sadness behind that smile. "It's okay. Death is sad for you."

She frowned a bit but nodded. "Right." She rubbed Jesy's cheek with a smile before continuing. "So I have a bit of time so I've organized meetings with all of your teachers to check on your progress alright? I was just about to meet with Alex but I decided to come see you and to also ask if you'd maybe want to accompany me. Then again, I shouldn't be pulling you out of class now should I?" She smiled.

Jesy shrugged. "I'll be missing classes all week anyway so why not?"

"Mmm . . ." She was thoughtful. "Well alright. Oh I also meant to ask about you and Perrie. Oh my gosh Jes you must be so hurt." She hugged the girl dearly.

Jesy rested her head on her mother's shoulder. "It's been tough."

She released her. "She being mean about it? How did you two even break up?"

Jesy was not very ready to answer that. In fact she did not want to. "Long story. Let's just say I made her mad."

"Oh dear. Well if it's only that she may come 'round."

"I dunno . . . it was more of a major disagreement which means she thinks she's right and I think I'm right- well not really. I'm actually uncertain if I'm being honest." Jesy stroked her chin.

Christina tilted her head. She would ask Jesy what the disagreement was about but she could deduce so far that it was a secret. She'll probably tell me later. Or maybe it was embarrassing for Perrie? Perhaps. She would usually tell me everything but this must be different. "Well maybe you'll be able to see it her way soon then."

Jesy was quiet. She looked into her mum's eyes.

"Do you think that that's a possibility?"

"Hmm not sure. I have a feeling that I may be able to get her back without addressing it though." Jesy grinned then held one of her mother's hands. "Mummy I've been giving her gifts again." She bounced up and down.

"Oh boy." Christina had heard of this tactic before. Jesy had done this when she had first discovered that she had a crush on Perrie. "Jes I . . . I don't think that that's a good idea. In the past Perrie never liked your gifts and I'm sure that she hates them now."

"Well obviously she dislikes them but they do get her attention. She went from not speaking to me to calling me a moron. Yippie!"

"Jesy . . . no sweetie no." Christina was saying gently while brushing down Jesy's hair at the side of her face. "This is a breakup so you should give Perrie her space. Show her that you respect her boundaries. It seems to me that she doesn't want to speak with you so what would be best is that you respect that. Okay?"
