"But I'm calm, I'm calm. Hahahahaha what made you all think that I would be a threat at any point? What? Because of my enthusiasm towards this little contest? Ah don't look so worried. Jin is relaxed. If anyone knows how to maintain his 'cool' as the kids say- it's me, Jin." Jin spoke as if he was having light conversation with the boys at the bar. In actuality he was speaking with the guard who had escorted him away from the bleacher seats earlier for his rude comments. They were outside of the school around where some stands were selling things like hot dogs and corn dogs and cotton candy. Food for the lowly. He held a bottle of water in hand as they made their way back to the football field. The guard had bought it for him in an effort to try to cool him down.
The guard with him was called Ted. "Yeah sure. I hope you try to keep yourself in order from now on Jin. You guys may jolly well end up being kicked out before you perform if you keep up like this." He sighed. "In a way, bringing you all out here was sort of a litmus test to see if you'd be able to function in a normal setting."
Jin's eyes bulged before they turned to Ted. He stared him down. "And . . . how have we been doing so far during said test?"
Ted told it to him like it was. "Pretty badly."
Jin sighed. "So I guess we really will stay back this year. What month is it? The one after January? Hmm . . . we have time." He stopped in the middle of the way with hands on his hips and a grin on his face.
Someone nearly bumped into him but was able to swerve him in time. "It's like they're everywhere." The guy grumbled.
Jin heard this and turned his head to say something but Ted turned it back forward.
"We're going back to the others now and you are going to-" Ted was trying to say but then three people, two who looked familiar and one being on another's shoulder, began to approach them. "Wait is that Perrie, Leigh-Anne and . . . did they capture someone?? Who's on Perrie's shoulder??"
Jin grinned but tried to suppress it. "How disobedient of them. Kidnapping innocent students. Scoff and I'm sure that they haven't even got a good reason for it."
"Kidnapping is never okay." Ted started walking up to them on firm feet. Many were staring at the fact that a girl was just carrying someone else over her shoulder. "Hey!" He shouted.
The girls who had been talking calmly to each other stopped in their tracks to look up at him.
"Oh hey Teddy boy old bud old pal." Perrie smirked at him. "What brings you here? To this . . . greasy, noisy, crowded part of- ooo that looks good. I've never had a corn dog before." She started walking away from him and spotted Jin walking up to them as well, his hands at his back. "Ha, it's one of your lackeys."
Ted found himself among them once again. "Perrie why are you kids away from everyone else and why are you carrying . . . Jade?"
Jade was eating a donut it seemed. "S'up?" It seemed she had gotten comfortable in this awkward position of being over Perrie's shoulder.
"What the . . ." From what Ted had been told, these days Jade seemed to be on really bad terms- more so than usual- with Perrie so he was not sure of what to make of this. "Why is she-"
"Perrie gave her a snack to get her to stop complaining and it actually worked." Leigh chirped. She patted Jade's head, feeling less intimidated by her at the moment.
Ted . . . didn't get it. "But why?? Don't you know how strange this looks?"
"If by strange you mean adorable then I'm with you. It looks very strange." Jin pinched one of Jade's cheeks. "Who's a good pet Jade who can murder everyone here if she was given the chance or is possibly aggravated enough? You are, you are." He spoke as if she was a pet indeed.
