Mary opens her front door and steps inside her house. A whole week had gone past, and Mary had cycled to every coffee shop, coffee market, cafe and restaurant she knew, and returned home with not a single coffee bean in her hands.
She immediately goes to the kitchen to make some coffee, but when she reaches for the cupboard, she remembers that she needs to drink at least half the amount of coffee she used to drink, if she had any hope of having some left a month later.
She makes a sluggish walk to the living room and slothfully sat on her brown armchair. Mary was tired, frustrated, and craving coffee, but most of all, she felt hopeless.
—"This can't be the end" Mary said to herself "There must be some coffee, somewhere..."
Suddenly, a strong wind blew the windows open and before Mary's eyes stood a cow, looking at her, peacefully. Mary stood up and rubbed her eyes, making sure she wasn't going insane from the lack of caffeine.
—"Do not be alarmed." The cow said, in a slow, calm voice. Its gorgeous brown fur moved in a mesmerising way, and the tranquility of its eyes made Mary feel peaceful inside (despite the fact there was a huge cow in her living room).
— "Who are you?" asked Mary
