Mary raced through the airport. She was probably too late, but she had to try. She accidentally ran into a group of people, making one of them fall over and drop their suitcases open.

—"Hey!" Said the security guard who saw what happened.

In any other day, Mary would have stopped and apologised and been so embarrassed. Actually, in any other day Mary wouldn't have been running in the first place. But Mary had to at least try saving the only thing she ever cared about in her life, and she dreaded that one day in the future she would be entirely responsible for her own suffering without coffee.

So Mary didn't even look back. She ran towards the escalator, which then seemed to go slower than anything she had ever seen, so Mary ran up the stairs.

—"Sorry! Excuse me!" Mary said, so people would get out of her way.

Mary then found herself in a floor with only one way out— a queue. No, she didn't have any time. So she jumped over the barrier posts with a determination Mary herself had never seen before. She bolted through the baggage control and body scanner, making a deafening alarm go off. Mary then realised that several security guards were running after her.

It was now or never. She had to get in that plane.
