"I know, but I have to go... it may be my only chance." Merlin now walked past Arthur.
"You're only chance to what?" The King queried as he turned to watch Merlin leave the his room.
"To bring them back."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And with that the Raven headed out into Gaius' chamber, Arthur quickly behind.
"What are you talking about, how can you bring them back?" The King now stood beside Merlin as he packed the remainder of his bag.
"What's going on?" Leon asked utterly confused, on behalf of himself everybody else in the room. The blonde quickly snapped his attention to his Knights.
"He says he's going to go and bring them back"
"Bring who back?" Guinevere asked confused.
"Gwaine, Lancelot and Elyan" Arthur responded matter of factly "Gaius tell him he's crazy or something. I may not know much about magic but I know that it can't bring people back from the dead, even yours Merlin." The King was sure of himself but after all the new revelations about his friend being magic itself and immortal, he couldn't be that sure "I mean... I'm right, right?" The blonde asked the Physician.
"You are sire" The old man returned before walking towards his Ward. "Merlin you can't summon people from the dead, you know that, it's dark magic and it never ends well for anyone"
"I know" And wasn't that the truth? Merlin had been living nothing but hell since he brought Arthur back. "I understand the risks but it's not like I'm doing this on a whim. The leader of Sidhe said It must be done, she says I have been granted the power to do so and I must now go to Avalon and use it, otherwise something terrible may happen." Okay so maybe the boy was paraphrasing slightly but the message was the same.
"The Sidhe? The same one that healed Arthur at the lake?" The Physician asked more acceptedly. This statement peaked the interest of everybody else in the room.
Merlin nodded, it was a lie, the Sidhe, of course hadn't healed Arthur but he wasn't about to correct them. "I have to do this Gaius. I know in my heart that it is the right thing to do." The boy concluded.
"Very well" The old man submitted, knowing full well of the stubbornness of his Ward. "But please be careful".
"I always am" Merlin grinned, whilst closing his bag.
"Hold up, hold up." The King spoke. "You mean to tell me that you are actually going to haul ass to some lake and raise our friends and brothers from the dead just because some spirit told you too?"
The Raven shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly "Yeah. You coming?"
Arthur looked like a startled stoat, what had his life become? It wasn't him or any other Knight who spoke first. It was Gwen who stood forward "I'm in."
Leon was the first to react "milady are you sure this is wise?"
"If Merlin is about to bring my brother back from the dead, you best believe, Sir Leon, that I am going to be there." The Queen retaliated and smiled towards her Warlock best friend.
"Count me in" Said Percival next, as he went to stand by his younger brother "It's all too quiet around here without Gwaine drunken stories."
Leon looked to Arthur, before walking to Merlin, nodding to the boy as he did.
"Arthur?" The Raven finally asked.
The King's face went stern as he stood up straight "Let's bring them home."
