"Alright Merlin, I've addressed the court, trained my knights, eaten lunch and resided as judge over a ridiculous garment competition, there surely can't be anything else to do" Arthur expressed whilst slouching down into his chair next to his chamber window.

"Don't worry, that's all for today sire" The boy assured.

Clapping his hands together and rubbing them against each other, the king was suddenly full of life again. "Perfect, well come on Merlin, its time"

"Time for what?"

"Time to walk off the plank of a ship..." the servant looked at his master confused "Oh, come on Merlin you know what I'm talking about."

"I really don't..." The raven cautiously replied. Arthur got up from his chair by the window and took a seat at the head of his dining table gesturing to Merlin to take a seat next to him.

"I promised you, I'd look into lifting the ban on magic as long as you would advise me and tell me of your experiences, well this is your time to do so" Merlin sat down and looked into his king's eyes, he wanted more than anything for magic to be legalised, but the fact still remained that he didn't want to relive all those bad times, but he also knew that if he was to have any chance at proving to Arthur his worth the boy would have to tell him a least a little bit of what has happened. With this resolve the warlock leaned forward and placed his hands on the table.

"What do you want to know?"

"Everything."

And so despite the overwhelming amount of pain the warlock felt in disclosing everything he had ever done for the King, or at least all he could remember because let's be honest who could keep count? he did so, knowing that doing this would help the reintroduction of magic into Camelot:

"All the branches, and mysterious burning of weapons?"

"The orb of light that helped me get away from the spiders?"

"You defeated the Griffin?"

"Lancelot knew?!"

"You tried to trade your life for mine? Merlin what were you thinking!"

"The questing beast?"

"Nimueh, you killed her?"

"Sigan? The assassin? Hengist? The troll?"

"Dragoon! That was you?! I knew there was something familiar about him... you!"

"You poisoned Morgana?"

"Of course I know that you saved Camelot from the dragon"

"You defeated the dead army?"

"The fisher king? The wyverns... a Phoenix stone? What the hell is that?"

"The slave traders, when we were with Gwaine?"

"You're the one who ended the immortal army"

"I remember the dorocha Merlin, I'm not entirely clueless"

"That man who wanted the dragon egg, he poisoned us? You cured us and saved the dragon? MORGANA'S DRAGON?!"

"What about the mercenaries that attacked us in the valley of the fallen kings? I remember you got hurt and then we got separated by the rock fall..."

"I couldn't let them hurt you Arthur, I didn't realise they were Morgana's men" Merlin responded.

"Morgana?" The king was shocked at this revelation, but seeing the pained expression on his friends face he knew there must have been more to the story "You were gone for days Merlin, what happened?"
