"You being a Warlock I can understand, You being a dragon lord was pushing it, but now you are also telling me that you are the king of the druids and of the Catha?!"

"Not the king, just a friend of sorts"

Arthur scoffed whilst pacing his room, Leon and Percival had sat down at his table in order to try and process what they were being told. "Right" he returned sarcastically "A friend which they call milord and bow too"

Merlin just shrugged.

"You don't understand how important you are to them do you?" The King now stood in front of his servant "They trust in you Merlin, they trust in your judgement, where you will take them, they would gladly die for you. That alone is the failing of many King's and yet here you are with that loyalty at your feet and you don't even recognise it"

"I never asked for any of this"

"And you think I did? I knew you held a heavy burden to protect me and Camelot, but part of me always envied the fact that you didn't have people looking up to you, people to lead, people who would criticise your every move. And yet again you prove me wrong, because you did, you had all of that and more." Arthur didn't know what to think, Merlin a leader? A king (of sorts)? These people had helped him when he needed it but also placed so much pressure on the boy to the lift on the ban on magic, if anything the king felt sorry for the Merlin. It couldn't have been easy.

"Why do they call you Emrys?" Percival chimed in.

"Emrys is the name the druids gave me, It means..."

"Immortal" a voice sounded from the doors to the King's chambers. All the men looked up and saw their Queen standing before them.

"Yes, how did you know?" Merlin grinned as he greeted his friend.

"Call it a lucky guess" Gwen returned with a loving smile and made her way over to her husband who held her in a sided hug. "I thought you were going on a hunt today?"

"Change of plans, Emrys here had some new information to share with us. Isn't that right, Merrrrllin?" The King retorted.

"Ahhh yes, the druids, the entire citadel are talking about what happened, no one understands why they were bowing to Merlin." The Queen justified.

"Well maybe if he let everyone know of his powers, they wouldn't be so confused." Arthur now looked from his Queen to the Warlock. He had wanted to appoint Merlin as court sorcerer but the boy had refused to let everyone know he had magic so it wasn't really an option for Arthur to even ask Merlin to be the court sorcerer.

"Why? You guys know, that's all that matters, I don't need everyone to know. I'm not hiding that I have magic but I see no reason to flaunt it either" Merlin reasoned.

The Knights and Royals couldn't help but respect the loyal boy who sought so little credit for his actions. Breaking through this train of thought Leon cleared his throat.

"I still don't understand why they call you Emrys, it means immortal but what has that got to do with you?"

The raven gave a sly smirk in the corner of his mouth, not answering the question but waiting to see how long it would take them to put the pieces together. Gwen was the first to gasp, followed by Leon whose eyes widened "you... you're?" The Warlock just nodded. By this time Percival had also got hit by realisation.

Finally, the King, who had been watching the interactions between the servant and Knights, suddenly realised what was being inferred "Oh you've GOT to be joking?!" He now looked blankly at his best friend who smiled from ear to ear.
