"No. I will not allow," Jungkook squeezed Jimin's hand.
"What can we do Jungkook, we're just two lost orphans in a war that's way bigger than us. If prince Jeon would have been alive he could change history, change fate, reclaim the throne and free all of us, but he's dead," Jimin bit his lip when Jungkook's heart began to bang against his chest.
He couldn't do anything Jimin, he would be a lost orphan doing all possible and impossible to protect his snow fox, the only one worth dying for, thought Jungkook.
"That's legends and stuff..." stuttered Jungkook. "What could one lonely prince do?"
"He wouldn't be lonely, everyone in the kingdom would stand up to fight on his side, would follow him, even Hoseok and each soldier in the army," said Jimin when Jungkook began to bit his lower lip nervously.
"Nonsense, you've been knocked out for too long Jimin, you're bubbling some things."
Jimin wanted to say something but Jungkook closed his mouth with a kiss. Stupid little fox shouldn't say things like that, didn't he know that Jungkook had no hope left, so he would never. How had Jimin pictured it? Nonsense.
To forget Jimin's words Jungkook was kissing him for a long time when Jimin tangled his hands into his hair pulling him so close Jungkook had no other option but to lay flat on him.
"I'm heavy," he muttered but Jimin only wrapped his legs and arms around him keeping him in place.
"I need you so close," he whispered so Jungkook stayed gluing his lips back to Jimin's, to his jaw and neck kissing endlessly until the tiredness made him rest his head on Jimin's chest and listen to his heartbeat.
He moved his hands under Jimin's black sweater touching his warm skin leaving them there placing kisses on Jimin's chest through the fabric, trying to forget his fox's words but they were coming back until Jungkook fell into a peaceful sleep, his lullaby Jimin's lovely body temperature and the softness of his palms.
"Jimin is still weak, it's better if he will stay here for a few more days. I'd rather have an eye on him," Jin was looking at Jungkook seriously.
It was the next evening and Jungkook confronted the shaman about his wish to return to the army as he was sure the final battle was approaching.
"Ok, just do your best. I need to report back to my commander as quickly as possible."
"They haven't reached the field underneath the Foreverness Mountain yet," Jin was calm when a shiver ran down Jungkook's spine.
It was an open secret that Jin could see the future, but Jungkook never believed it much.
"I promise you, you will set off at the right time. Right now your hybrid needs to rest," Jin pulled the tent he has given them open walking inside to give Jimin the herbal potion he has prepared when Jungkook sighed.
This village reminded him of his early days after his parents' death, he never liked to stay here for long, yet it seemed Jimin was feeling good here, he was smiling a lot playing hide and speak with the little orphans Jin was taking care off, shifting into a fox for the children who loved him.
Jungkook walked into the tent placing the bowl of golden berries on the table receiving a precious smile from Jimin.
"Ah, tonight there will be a initiation ritual in the village, you are invited," Jin grinned.
"What initiation?" Asked Jimin.
"A young magician candidate is coming from a different province to receive his initiation."
Jimin's smile suddenly faded.
"Something's wrong?" Asked Jin.
"No, just your words reminded me of someone, but it doesn't matter anymore. We will gladly come," the beautiful smile lit up Jimin's face again so Jin gave them thumbs up before walking out of the tent.
Jungkook took he bowl with berries to the bed sitting down next to Jimin handing them to him.
"Thank you, you really know they're my favorite," Jimin kissed his cheek.
"You guys just love them."
"Who do you mean?" Asked Jimin buffed.
"Snow foxes... I mean... it's common for snow foxes to like golden berries, right?"
"Jungkook do you know another snow fox?"
"I... barely remember, but my mother's best friend was a snow fox hybrid, she... was my favorite nanny... I mean like a nanny to me, taking care of me whenever mum was busy," Jungkook was tripping on words, it was a dangerous subject his past.
Jimin's eyes lit up.
"Did she like golden berries too?"
"Yes, she did," Jungkook became nervous.
"Wow so cool, so you might be right it's our kind, that loves golden berries, my mum loved them too," Jimin suddenly became sad. "How were your parents?"
Jimin's question hang in the air.
"I don't remember them much," lied Jungkook heavy hearted.
"My mum was lovely, it has been so amazing when she was there to take care of me, but my father... she never told me anything about him, who he was or what happened to him butI have a suspicion she loved him like crazy," Jimin's eyes were glittering. "She has told me she had never been misused sexually by a human and she always wanted to protect me so it won't happen to me. She knew how unlikely it is for hybrids though to be so blessed, yet I am blessed. Blessed to have you," Jimin cuddled to him when Jungkook was hot and cold, not saying a thing caressing over Jimin's back.
"What about that magician?" Asked Jungkook after a while. "You have known a magician right?"
Thank you so much for your feedback, you are the best💚 I hope you enjoyed the chapter. What do you think about Jungkook not being honest with Jimin about his past and his true identity? What will Jimin tell him about Taehyung?
