Diamond's POV

"Shit..." I heard Dallas mumble when I sstormed out.

I was done with tonight. I did nothing to that girl. I just sat there and talked to her friend. I still kinda wish I did more to her. She deserved a good punch to the face.

"Diamond, wait up!" Someone said behind me.

"What?" I asked turning around.

"What was that?" Johnny asked.

"Karma."

"Actually, the karma is a thing in Hinduism and Buddhism. It comes naturally after you do something and it happens among yourself not other people."

Dally, Johnny, and I all stared as Ponyboy as he went on his nerd talk.

"Are you done yet?" I asked interrupting him.

"Oops." He said getting embarrassed.

"I don't regret anything I did. She poured that shit all over me for absolutely nothing. I'm going home and I'm gonna take a shower. End of story."

"Alright. I guess I'll head home too." Ponyboy said. "Johnny, you coming?"

"Yeah I'll come." He replied.

Johnny and Ponyboy went home and Dally and I went back to Buck's.

Ryder's POV

Finally. I'm in Oklahoma. I think I'm in Tulsa. I went to the train station earlier to ask around. See who left on the day those guys got caught at the exact same time. There were three trains that left during that time.

I hope she left by train. She needed to get out of their fast because otherwise she'd get caught. She couldn't take a plane because the process is too slow to get out of there. It was shut down to quickly.

If she used a car, they'd have to check her ID at each of the borders of a new state. So the three trains that left that day and at that time were ones to Los Angeles, California, Upper New York and Tulsa, Oklahoma.

I checked upper New York to the city where the train was just in case. I didn't see her there but I didn't think I would. I don't have any doubt she didn't go to LA. It's way to big of a city and you would easily get caught.

But Oklahoma seems right. I also found out that this city is the farthest you could get for under 10 dollars. She has to be here.

I walked around and it was getting dark. The days were shorter than days in summer. But it was a lot warmer than Chicago and New York City. It felt nice.

"Hey!" I called out. There were these two boys walking along the side of the road. I quickly pulled a hat out of my pocket and covered my face.

They both looked over at me and then at each other wondering if they should respond. "Can you guys help me out really quick?"

They both hesitated. "Umm... who are you?" The one with the purple sweatshirt asked.

"You guys friends?" I asked. They nodded. I got closer nto them but they started to back up. I put my hands up in surrender. "I just need to ask a question. Then I'll be outta your hair." I said.

"We've gotta get home. M-make this quick." The tanned kid said.

"Do you guys know someone named Alex Holtz?" I asked.

"That mafia leader?" The kid with the purple sweatshirt asked. "She's all over the news."

Oh they messed up. "How did you know it was a girl?"

His face got red. "I- It was said on the news. Please just leave us alone." He continued.

"Where is she? She's dangerous. And if you know her, stay away from her. Where is she?"

"We aren't gonna give that information to a stranger. She's not a bad person." The tanned kid said. He didn't seem to have much confidence.

"I work in New York. It's for yours, and the rest of the worlds, own good."

"Are you a police officer?"

"I'm not a police officer but I'm very crutial to this investigation." I said. Why won't they rat her out already?!

"What are you gonna do to her?" The kid with the purple sweatshirt asked.

"I just need to know she's here." I said.

"Well, she is." The tanned kid said. They started to walk away.

"Wait! Where does she live?" They both looked at each other.

"If you keep this information from someone as important as me, I can put you in jail for up to five years. Both of you. Back in New York. So tell me where she is and I'll leave you guys out of this. Got it?"

The tanned kid looked at the other one unsure of what to do.

"She lives above a bar about a mile from here. It's called Bucks. It's down the road to the right." The one with the purple sweatshirt said pointing.

"Perfect." I said walking away.

All I had to do was get her out of there. But how am I supposed to? A bar? She was a multi-millionaire and now she lives above a bar! Out of all the places I thought she'd go, this was not one of them.

I figured I could squeeze past all the people in there and go find the rooms and break in hers and threaten her to come back.

I walked up to the front door and it was locked. "What?" I mumbled to myself as I continued to try and open the door. I looked at the sign on the door. Closed on Sunday's. Of course.

I went around the building and there were a bunch of these cars out back. I looked up and there were four windows on the second floor. The two on the right were dark. So either somebody was sleeping or nobody was in there.

But then it all fell together. I saw her in the last window and she disappeared and reappeared in the other window. I think she was in the bathroom. It looked like she grabbed something and then went back into her room. The lights went out in both of the rooms.

I had to get up there.

I looked over and there was this shed over to the side of the building. I went inside and there were ladders, shovels, and other tools. I looked at the ladders. I needed one tall enough to get up there.

I grabbed the tallest one I could find and put it in front of her window. It was so close. I would have to pull myself up to get into the window. I climbed up the ladder as quielty as I could and pulled myself up to the ledge.

My hands were about to slip but I easily pushed open the window and I realized I went to the wrong window! I was in her bathroom. I figured it was hers because she had a bunch of makeup out and it looked like something she'd wear. At least I hope it's hers. The lights were out so I would have to wait a bit. I guess I'll be here for a while.

Diamond's POV

I took a really quick shower because all I wanted to do was go to bed. At least I didn't have to shower in the morning. I got out of the shower in 10 minutes and put on leggings and a old t-shirt. I got it for really cheap at this store. I wouldn't ever wear something like this out in public, but to bed I would. I never did like wearing real pajamas to bed. I always found them uncomfortable. And why would I wanna be uncomfortable when nobody's gonna see me?

I took my makeup off and went out to bed. I realized I left my ring in the bathroom so I quickly grabbed it and put it back on. I turned the lights off and it was finally time for bed. After this crazy night, it felt great to just lay down and relax.
